Next 10 games are brutal

I think the Blazers are one of the best teams in the league RIGHT NOW.

You're wrong. They're just an average team that has been fortunate to take advantage of an easy schedule (and were lucky to beat the Spurs and Suns). They're likely going to lose most of these. I don't understand why you would think they can compete with contenders. :dunno:

Rose won't dominate Lillard. Rose has not looked good so far this season. I'm more concerned about their other guys.

Didn't we destroy this same Indiana team at home last year by 20? Our squad's even better now. I'll be very disappointed if we don't handle business against the Pacers at home.

If it makes you feel better, guys, I've seen the Blazers play in Milwaukee before and Aldridge hit the game winning shot. I'm not into all this next ten games talk. The only game I care about right now is the one I'm taking a 23 hour train to courtesy of magnifier. Both he and I called top 3 seed at the top of the season and I'm sticking to that.

Well Sting must feel really awkward now; sending out a strength of schedule to the world is kind of pointless.

thats such a weird song, especially the "massaging the butthole" part

Allow me to go reverse MM on this:

1.) Milwaukee on the road (Last game of a road trip, already complacent from 3 wins. Trap game--loss)
2.) Chicago at home (First game back after EC roadie, plus Chicago's super-hot. Loss)
3.) golden state on the road (b2b) (We NEVER win there, not changing now. Loss)
4.) New York at home (NBA needs NY to be respectable. Playing 8 on 5 here. Loss)
5.) Phoenix on the road (Already lost here once, and barely scraped by them at home. Loss)
6.) Lakers on the road (League won't let Kobe lose in his return. Loss)
7.) Indiana at home (b2b) (Best team in the league. We have no chance.)
8.) OKC at home (Best team in the conference [record notwithstanding]. No chance.)
9.) Utah at home (No excuse for not winning this game)
10.) Dallas at home (b2b) (Probably ought to win this one too)

I wouldn't be surprised if we go 2-8 in this stretch. I'll be thrilled if we're lucky enough to go 5-5.

GST > OKC , they've dropped a bit this year IMO

this is a little off topic but you know what I think would be great? since were talking about teams on our upcoming schedule....

Dame and westbrook getting into it...those two having a rivalry would be a lot of fun. it would probably make dame play better too. I know russ is afreak athletically but when dame really focuses...he doesn't miss much. hence him being 13-16 in 7 OT games.
plus it would just be a fun rivalry

Thought: our start reminds me of the Suns' blistering start in 2009. They lulled midseason but finished with a fury. After beating us in the first round, they went on to reach the WCF. I could see that happening to us.

Both he and I called top 3 seed at the top of the season and I'm sticking to that.

I never understood why so many fans thought we had no chance at all of home court advantage. I've been saying this since early summer the west is wide open so while I thought we'd be a #6 seed we could very easily fall to #9 or jump to #3. I think some fans are so butthurt over the last few seasons of following the Blazers they are guarding themselves from any and all possible emotional letdowns. But ignoring the possible upside of a team is just as stupid as ignoring the possible downside.

I still stand by my #6 or #7 and 46 wins. #longseason

So the next 10 games are brutal "strength of schedule," the meaning of which still escapes me. Is Milwaukee still one of those 10 games you called "brutal"? Do they still have a lousy record? Should they not be a fairly easy win, based on their record and how the Blazers are playing? If all that is true, then maybe what you meant to say was that the 9 games after we play Milwaukee are going to be brutal.

And it seems you failed to see my prediction. I put 90% certain we win in Milwaukee. But you wanna press that all 10 teams need to be contenders to be a fucking brutal 10 games, then go for Mr. Brady

no shooter

its like "tonight im going to enjoy a nice cigar, then get raped with a broom handle 9 times. its gonna be brutal"

1.) Milwaukee on the road - Win
2.) Chicago at home - Loss
3.) Golden State on the road - Loss
4.) New York at home - Win
5.) Phoenix on the road - Loss
6.) Lakers on the road - Win
7.) Indiana at home (b2b) - Loss
8.) OKC at home - Loss
9.) Utah at home - Win
10.) Dallas at home (b2b) - Win

5-5, and I feel like that's an optimistic reading. We'll see.

Maybe because contenders think they CAN compete with contenders.

You're new, so I'll overlook you not seeing that I was being completely facetious.

I'm very magnanimous.

I think the Blazers are one of the best teams in the league RIGHT NOW. I never said they should beat certain teams at home, I questioned why some thought they wouldn't or would have trouble beating certain teams at home RIGHT NOW.

I don't believe you. Liar. Yes I said it. Your schtick is very transparent.

but the hardest ones are at home where we need to re-establish what used to be the best homecourt advantage in the league.

What can we do to bring noise back into the Rose Garden? The fans, maybe they were anticipating a lotto team but they have been a complete disappointment this year. Empty seats, No shows and I have spent much time wondering if there was a pulse in the Rose Garden.

Should have kept the chalupa...

These are my homer predictions

1.) Milwaukee on the road - win (90% certain)
2.) Chicago at home - win (60% certain)
3.) golden state on the road (b2b) - win (51% certain)
4.) New York at home - win (100% certain)
5.) Phoenix on the road - lose (65% certain)
6.) Lakers on the road - win (51% certain)
7.) Indiana at home (b2b) - lose (80% certain)
8.) OKC at home - win (60% certain)
9.) Utah at home - win (75% certain)
10.) Dallas at home (b2b) - lose (55% certain)

7-3 in the next 10. But we could go 4-6 almost just as easy, IMO. Since I'm a homer, I go with better numbers!

So far so good
