Next 7 games should kill the Phoenix Suns

With the West teams playing one another more and more down the stretch, no one has an easy task. But the Suns are on the outside, so they need to both win and have someone else lose. They've shown they can drop a ton of points on the Clippers. That's not enough.

It just sucks IMO that Terry Porter could end up taking blame.

Yep. Phoenix is too far out at this stage to make it.

Phoenix is 4 games back of Dallas in the loss column. Dallas' next 4 games are @PhoEniX, @Portland, @ GS, @ The Lakers. In the mean time Phoenix plays at home. They could be back in it this time next week.

Yup

Time is running out for Phoenix. Can't play the Clippers everyday.

SEVEN games behind us in the loss column.

Mixum, if you're out there, do you still think we won't make the playoffs?

Poor Suns. I always rooted for them in the playoffs. They have just continued to shoot themselves in the foot IMO, trading Marion, selling draft picks, not keeping Mike D'Antoni....they are done, and on the cusp of re-building. When they lose Nash and Shaq, there core is going to be Barbarosa, Stoudemire and Richardson. Respectable, but not good enough to make the playoffs in the West.

Don't encourage him to come back. It's been nice without him.

Yes things are not looking good for the Suns. LOL. I am a little surprised. But with the Cavs getting beat (badly) by the Clippers right now, you have to think that Cleveland will go into the next game a little fired up. So Pheonix may lose their next game too.

Damn I may have spoke too soon. The Clips are being..... the Clips.

Phoenix is not relevant to Portland anymore. I would rather they had beaten Dallas.

It's time to stop worrying about Phoenix and start worrying about getting the #3 seed. I think this team is worthy of home court advantage.

Well untill they are healthy and until they start playing well on the road again, I am going to remain cautious.

But I agree things look good.

I still want Phoenix to lose. They're next 4-5 games don't affect any team we're competing with, I don't think, so lose lose lose away Phoenix. I'm not gonna be satisfied until we have officially clinched a playoff spot. I remember Denver, in 94, rallied from like 7 games down in the last month to make the playoffs. And I remember in 92, the Knicks were up 5 games over Boston with 5 games to play and Boston ended up winning the division. It was amazing. 5 Knick losses, 5 Boston wins, and Boston had the tiebreaker. So crazy things happen in this league.

But if you're gonna think big, why not the #2 seed?

6.5 games up with 18 some games to play. I'd say playoffs are looking pretty good right now.

COME ON CLEVELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!

109-102 with 4 minutes remaining.

Same deal with every game.. Phoenix able to stay close with offense, can't get the stops on defense to get the win.

I know a big reason they are really really struggling down the stretch is because they lost Amar'e, but it sure does seem like a small dose of karma for the way they did Porter.

Lebron's stats were amazing, but it was good ole Moe Fuckin Williams when it counted down the stretch. LOL

The teams I least want to face in the playoffs right now are the Nuggets and Mavericks. If they get the seventh and eighth seeds, I'd just as soon let the Spurs knock one of them out for us.

I think we can pretty much say the Suns are toast. Barring a huge hot streak, or a major collapse by someone else, the story now is how the 2-8 seeds shake out (after last night, San Antonio catching the Lakers is unlikely).

It's a pretty big story as it changes daily.

I really don't care what seed we get. This year was all about simply making the playoffs, and I have never felt like we would make it out of the first round. :dunno:

I would say that even if we ended up with the 3rd or 4th seed my expectation would be a loss in the first round simply because the other teams have all been there the last few seasons.

Lakers- W
@ Orlando- L
@ Miami- L
@ Houston- L
@ San Antonio- L
Dallas- L
Cleveland

That should put them a big hole and secure our playoff spot, don't you think?
Add an L to the Cleveland game. Eric, you did a fantastic job on this thread. I think we have a magic number of 12 now.
