Seattle lost to Arizona
Seattle is a really good team no doubt, the thing is, they need to prove it. Reaching the NFC title game and Superbowl is a good start, that's what really good teams do
I knew very few M's fans. Everybody loved Griffey, and several people jumped on the bandwagon when they were good (I even rooted for them as one of my AL teams) because they already had following for Griffey (Griffey was THE player everyone wanted to be). After a quick peak, the bandwagon seemed to slowly empty, and it really died as soon as they sucked or Griffey was gone, the bandwagon.
I swear, at least 1/3rd of my FB "friends" are Giants. And these are all people I went to HS with (I'm not big into FB-ing, so it's mostly all people from HS). Here in the Portland Area. Maybe one or two M's fans.
By the same token, that same group of HS friends..... maybe Seattle is the most popular team now, but not by much. And several of those friends jumped on the wagon in the last few years.
If you went to school in the Portland Area, and you say nobody was a Bay Area sports fan, I'd say you went to a small private school or alternative school (even at the alternative school, you'd probably at least see Raiders gear, fan or not).
Being the best team in the NFC is a safety blanket
SF's best road win this season is Arizona.
Seattle beat Arizona on the road as well, and they also beat Carolina on the road. Two teams with double digit wins.
Seattle's just really good
Its gonna be a tough game, I expect a win though with crabtree back
Talking about road wins
Speaking of road games, traveling 3000 miles to play a 10AM game against Carolina next week has to suck, especially against that defense. That won't be fun.
Surprised to see you back on this board after your mini-melt. Like I said, I wasn't knocking Seattle. I gave them props.
Beating Carolina in Week 1 wasn't so impressive, FYI. AZ, meh. They were starting to heat up. They also lost to AZ.
But I don't need to get into a war of words. I don't need to defend my team. You're talking about a whole lotta nothing. You said you like to talk about what your team has done. Well, the Niners are just as far as the Seahawks. And the Niners have been there, done that. Been in the last two NFC Championships, and last year's SB. Niners don't need to talk. They don't need to claw their way into the conversation. They're already there when we review the overall body of their work over the last 3 seasons, including this year.
They were talking on ESPN how most of the teams with HFA the last several years have struggled through the playoffs. I won't be surprised when it's the same result for Seattle.
And what happened the last couple years is pretty much irrelevant now. No one thinks about it except SF fans.
You'll wish the 49ers had HFA if they meet up with Seattle in the NFCCG.
You know this

Well, most teams with a reputation and a history think about it because it exists.
Teams that only look at the current moment have nothing else to go on. They're playing today to make history. Like Seattle.
But at this moment, Seattle and SF are in the same place.
Hey Roytoy, how long have you been a Seahawks fan?
Congrats on your stadium enhanced HCA. It won't do you a bit of good in the Superbowl.
Also, I think our best road win just happened. We beat the Packers on their field in -10 with wind chill with the refs allowing all kinds of bullshit.

I bet you started rooting for the 49ers after they hired Harbaugh
The Packers aren't that great, especially their defense. They dropped a lot of interceptions yesterday.
Actually I started back when I was in 7th grade... so roughly 20 years as a Niners fan I think.
I just don't remember you crowing about the Seachickens before the last couple years... what's up with that?

Any my point is it doesn't help you win games in the future, thus why no one really cares.
I don't think Carolina is saying "OMG SF was in the SB last year, we have no chance!".
What they know is they went to SF and won this year. That matters more.

I come to this forum to talk about the Blazers. When I talk about the Seahawks I do it in a different place.
But just for fun, I searched for posts of me mentioning the Seahawks on this site and found one in 2009

Best part is it's in the Lakers forum![]()
Really? Why do some players make more than others? Why do people not worry about the Spurs when they lose a bunch? Performance. Known performance. Been there, done that. Durrrrr.
You talk a lot. But you don't say much.
You've never played football, no doubt. And you've never played in temps that cold, no doubt. Niners dropped just as many, no doubt. Packs' biggest plays all came with asterisks, if you watched the game (most big plays, even te analysts called out the missed penalties). Keep talkin', though. It's fun watching you go 'round and 'round.
Funny how you're anti-Mixum with the Seahawks, and Mixum's twin regarding the Blazers.
OK? This changes the fact the Packers were an average team this year?
Because they lost Aaron Rodgers for a bunch of games?
Still hard to win at Lambeau in -10 weather.
The defense was still mediocre at best
I'm sure it was hard for the Packers to play in those conditions as well. No one is used to -10 weather.

Even the most mediocre defense can be amazing if they're allowed to hold the shit out of your receivers![]()
That and Kaep was really struggling. No denying he could have easily thrown 2 more picks if GB could catch.
Just got tickets to the Seahawks-Saints game! Good stuff.
