Atlantic bracket:

Bruins-Sabres & Canadiens-Lightning

Met bracket:

Sens-Canes & Flyers-Pens

Central bracket:

Kings-Avs & Wild-Stars

Pacific bracket:

Mammoth-Golden Knights & Ducks-Oilers

I'll once again state I hate how the NHL seeds their playoffs, it is so ridiculous and does not reward the top teams the way it should. The Kings ending up with Colorado, means they have a 0% chance to make it to the 2nd round. They would have lost to the Oilers again as well, but at least there would maybe be a small shot to win, against Colorado they have no shot at all.

My picks:

Sabres in 7 & Lightning in 6
Lightning in 6 over the Sabres to come out of the Atlantic.

Canes in 5 & Pens in 7
Canes in 6 over the Pens to come out of the Met.

Lightning in 6 over the Canes to win the East.

Avs in 4 & Stars in 7
Avs in 6 over the Stars to come out of the Central.

Golden Knights in 7 & Oilers in 5
Golden Knights in 7 over the Oilers to come out of the Pacific.

Avs in 5 over the Golden Knights to win the West.

Avs in 6 over the Lightning to win the Cup.

Why do we keep having to sit through some DEI analyst during the game who doesn’t stop talking.

Fuck off with your DEI horseshit, bitch. The world doesn't belong to under-educated white men anymore. Deal with it.

Lol, easy there, Pronouns. She’s in that position for one reason and one reason only, and she was horrible at it.

Agreed, I'd like to see Buffalo do well. That crowd is going to be crazy tonight. That city loves hockey, and it's been so long since they hosted a playoff game. Important game for them to win tonight and get off to a good start given all the energy the building will add.

Take your hat off for the national anthem, douchebag.

Great 3rd period. That place is rocking.

Great to see Buffalo make a huge comeback, crowd was crazy as you all wrote. Good games so far, you have to love the NHL playoffs, even when the Rangers aren't in them, by far the best playoffs of any sport.

I guess we should be rooting for Minnesota for that 2nd 1st?

We get the better of Carolina or Dallas 1st round pick, so either one of those teams losing early benefits us. Since the Canes are up 2-0 and playing an inferior team, the better bet is root for the Wild. We also have Carolina's 2nd round pick, which will be late in the round.

The videos showing up on X of Buffalo fans are epic. Definitely rooting for them now.

Buffalo fans are crazy and so passionate, they do the same sorts of crazy stuff for the Bills. It's so cold, snowy, and gray up there I guess they have nothing else to do except be crazy for their sports teams!!

Yeah when you haven’t seen playoffs since Obamas first presidency you gotta enjoy it as much as possible lol

Canes sweep the Sens, I expect the Avs to sweep the Kings.

Other than the Avs/Kings game, you have a great schedule today.

Can Buffalo take full control and go up 3-1, not going to be easy.
Will TB win in Montreal to even up that series, or will Montreal take a commanding 3-1, thereby putting Montreal in a great spot to knock off the favored Lightning.
Can the two-time defending Western Conference champ Oilers win in Anaheim to avoid a 3-1 hole, thereby putting Edmonton in a huge hole.

Who would have thought, by the end of game 4 tonight you could have TB and Edmonton both down 3-1. Have to love the NHL playoffs.

We should all be pulling for Anaheim. A quick exit for the Oilers only helps McDavid move on from Edmonton.

I was thinking the same thing, I doubt it helps the Oilers cause if they suck and get knocked out early. It's not like the Rangers are an exciting draw for FA's these days, but the Oilers are going backwards, still lack a goalie and have a questionable D. The way they lost last night was really bad for them, and I don't think Anaheim is very good.

Seeing the Sabres whip the Bruins was nice and unexpected. TB showed a lot of guts coming back in that building to even up their series at 2.

Go Ducks, Sabres, and Wild.

Howden turned into a great bottom six guy. We used the pick we got him for Laba. I watched 1 full game this year and that game was at MSG v Detroit. I didn’t realize he had a solid season

"Good night" for the Rangers last night.

Edmonton was eliminated in round 1, doesn't matter today or tomorrow as McDavid has two seasons remaining on his contract, but it doesn't hurt the cause for him to leave Edmonton with the Oilers losing in round 1.

The Stars loss means we'll have their first-round pick, and it should be somewhere from 22 to 28, which isn't great, but is better than if the Stars made the WCF or SCF. Assuming we don't win the lottery and move up, we'll pick somewhere from 3-5 (5 is the lowest we can pick if a team wins the lottery and jumps us), and somewhere from 22 to 28. Not a terrible way to jumpstart a retool as Drury calls it.
