It’s not a halftime, LOL it’s an intermission

Also an organ I zation

when you get to two line passes and icing, let me know. I’m here for you

Well it's about as long as an NBA halftime so that's why I was calling it a halftime haha. But ya intermission is a better description since there's three periods.

Ray Ferraro, the on ice announcer, has one of the all time great nicknames in “The Big Ball Of Hate”

I really do love the flow of the game. It's a nice change from the NBA where the refs like to call everything.

Yep. I keep trying to tell people that if Portland had a team people would enjoy it more than the Blazers. IN PERSON IS AMAZING

I know the Winter Hawks are fun to watch. I don’t know the game well enough to really make judgments but I agree it’s exciting and fun to watch.

Got a question--in the net there's obviously a camera but what is below the camera there? Is it like a radar detector or something?

Good question. I’d like to know also?

The Hawks are a blast. The speed and skill difference is amazing. WHL 16-20 year olds compared to full grown men. Like watching high school and college basketball skill compared to NBA skill

The problem with hockey is TV doesn't do it justice. It really doesn't.
The size, power, agility, skill, and SPEED doesn't come through the set.
I think it is the best of the sports, and truly believe hockey players are the best athletes.
I lived in Denver when the Avs won The Cup in 2001. My alltime favorite sports team.
The Stanley Cup is the hardest of all trophies to win. Grueling. Emotional.

I think that’s why Paul Allen never got a NHL team in the Rose Garden. Didn’t want the competition.

We almost had the Penguins. It was so close the schedule makers had two schedules reflecting east and west for them.

I don't believe that. If Allen wanted a team there we would have one.

He had wanted that team, but Mario Lemieux stepped in at the last minute to save them from leaving Pittsburgh.

I don't recall any indications that he was ever interested in another NHL team after that interaction.

Just a thought?
If Portland did get a hockey team? I wonder if we could start a forum board that didn’t have 16-18 trade threads going at the same time?
I wonder if we could tell jokes and not hurt peoples feelers all the time?
I wonder if we would have to give @SlyPokerDog doggy treats?
Since no one knows anything about hockey except a few of us, we can be the mods and do whatever the fuck we want to
