He's the fifth option on offense so I don't think his lack of creating his own shot is a really big issue.

We need more versatility from him, no matter what option # his is. The simple fact is that if you are only a threat from 3-point range, you make it extremely easy to for the opposing defense.

Really? Do you also think that the Blazer offense last year was good enough to get it done, when it clearly wasn't?

The Blazers offense is Brandon Roy and whatever the other guys chip in. We know Lamarcus cannot carry the team scoring wise. He is a nice complimentary guy who can get set up for buckets. He was the second option on the team. If your second option wasn't getting it done, you either need somebody to step up and carry that load (somebody on the team, like Batum) or you need to go get somebody who will carry that load. If you are happy with the team playing as is, 1 and done each year, then a jump shooting Batum is great. But if you want to get to a higher level, then he needs to start playing with confidence on both sides of the ball.
