Don't know if anyone has read this.

Year after year, Gerald Wallace is maybe the most underrated player. He gets national recognition for his stellar defense, but he does so much more. He can drop 20 without trying, and he can play inside or out as he can drive, shoot, pass and rebound. Add those to some of the best athleticism of our time, and you have a guy who has only made one all-star team.

When they play their best ball, the Trail Blazers are capable of beating anybody, and I mean anybody. They have beaten all of the West’s great teams at least once this year, partially due to their very loud and enthusiastic home crowd. Although they’ll probably never have home court during the playoffs, it helps a lot to be safe at home.
I've been saying this since Wallace arrived.

Wow I didn't know we held teams to only 91 since Wallace joined the Blazers! That is some damn good defense!

especially with the BRUTAL schedule we had after the all star break. That article was a little underwhelming though, just kind of highlighted our players and none of our weaknesses.

He seems to be counting on Roy having a good series, but nothing I've seen indicates that this will happen.

"Brandon Roy is a defensively superb player when healthy."

Right...

"9. It’s Been a Long Time

The Trail Blazers are very much overdue to win in the postseason. Let me put it this way: The last time the Portland Trail Blazers won a playoff series, a democrat had just left office."

So, just because they haven't won in a long time means they will win this time? By this "logic" the Grizzlies should be favored to win it all as they've NEVER won a playoff series.

Except that Batum is our worst defender and biggest liability on defense! Hah.

I could come up with a lot better list of 10 reasons why LA could be the champs.

Referees figure into about 8 of them. Their best player rounds out the other two. Kobe was a "best of the rest."

Ya, when I read the title of the thread I thought it meant the Lakers and I was wondering why it didn't have a OT at the beginning.

This might be a reach, but none the less . . . Brandon Roy had arguably his best game of the season against Dallas on 3/15. 21 Points, and he hit some big shots down the stretch to finish the Mavs. The last time we played Dallas on 4/3, he had 9 points in 25 minutes. Not quite as spectacular, but I was at that game. He missed 2 or 3 shots where he got to the basket fairly easily and just couldn't finish. Of course, Tyson Chandler was out that game, so there was no shot blocker in the paint. Still, it looked like he could get a shot whenever he wanted. I'm not counting out the idea that Brandon could have a good series. Then again, I'm not expecting it either.
