I got the impression that he was saying, if they won the super bowl he would retire. They've got as good a chance as anyone next year.

Well, it would have been in San Fran, which would have been good, but I know that the huge loss to Seattle a few weeks ago would have still be on the minds of the Niners.

I'm curious though, does anyone else wonder if Crabtree's mind was elsewhere today? He wasn't nearly as effective as he was against GB, and that fumble on the 1 yard line was pretty uncharacteristic.

ATLANTA — A fan was stabbed in the neck after the NFC Championship Game outside of the Georgia Dome on Sunday night.

A witness told Channel 2's Rachel Stockman a Falcons fan, who was upset about the team's loss, began arguing with a 49ers backer in the silver lot outside Gate D. The argument turned violent when the Falcons fan punched the 49ers fan, who then pulled out a knife.

One of the two men was stabbed in the throat area and transported to a local hospital.

The condition of the person who was stabbed is unclear at this time.

More to the story..

The fight happened in the Silver Parking Lot. CBS Atlanta had crews at the location when the scuffle broke out. They described the scene as chaotic and saw a woman holding a man steady while he sat on a cooler. CBS Atlanta crews spied blood on the man's neck.

He was taken by ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital. He is listed in stable condition, according to Georgia Dome's public relations office. It states the victim is a 35-year-old male. His name has not been released.

It is unknown at this time if anyone involved in the altercation attended the game, according to dome officials.

Georgia World Congress Center Authority Police Department in conjunction with the Atlanta Police Department are investigating the incident.

Neither agency will say how the male victim received his wound or what sparked the fight.
