Nintento DS/DSi

I've got a couple of long international flights coming up and I'm going to get a handheld and GTA Chinatown Wars to pass the time. Does anyone have a DS or a DSi and can give advice on whether the DSi is worth the extra $70?

I've looked at the DSI, and it doesn't seem all that great to me. I'd just go with the DS Lite.

Check out Mario Kart, Super Mario 64 DS, New Super Mario Bros, etc. too. Last two GTA's I played on a handheld (on Gameboy Advance and then PSP) both were hot garbage. Chinatown Wars looks like hot garbage to me too, so you might want to make sure you have other games.

I love GTA so I won't be disappointed, but my friend who hates GTA got the game as a gift and has spent dozens of hours playing it. He raves about it. Which to me seems like an unbiased endorsement.
