Oh Lordy, Kershaw's a Chris Sale Clone these days, His Fastball used to be a smoker at 94+, now barely 91-92, depends on the changeup and loopdeloop hanging curve.

One problem with CK in the past is he's too often been overly dependent on the loopdeloop hanging curve for his Outpitch.

For yrs CK can easily be had; when opposing hitters sit on the hanging meatball curve.

Deja Vu of Matt Adams 2014 NLDS, 2 on 0 outs, Adams deposits a 3Run/HR, and here comes what??? the loop de loop hanging curve... Cardinals down 2-0, Final Score Cards 3/Bums 2...

2015 NLDS, CK vs D. Murphy, hanging curve deposited for a HR. Mets 3/ Bums 1...

and there's been too many others. 2014/2015 NLDS comes to mind, cuz even I knew that pitch was coming....

I bet the Brewers would sure love to have Zack Greinke back.

Zack Greinke was traded from the Royals to the Brewers with one other player (Y. Betancourt), and Kansas City obtained 5 players in return, one being Lorenzo Cain.

Greinke was then traded from the Brewers to the Angels in return for 3 players, two nobodies and Jean Segura also a nobody...

Ironic how the Brewers re-obtained Lorenzo Cain. Imagine if Zack Greinke we're on this Brewers pitching stuff. We wouldn't be seeing Gio Gonzalez.

I’m happy for Brewers fans. Hoping their team moves on to the World Series. Does anyone
remember the Milwaukee Braves of Warren Spahn & Lou Burdette? It was a time when starting
pitching meant something to the team and its fans! Their manager in 1964 was Bobby Bragan,
a real character as most were then. The staff also consisted of Tony Cloninger, Denny Lemaster,
Bob Sadowski to name a few that I recall. Pitching meant something in those days. Oh, and did
I mention that they could hit......even better than some regular players in today’s lineups in MLB.

Yeah, it’s been awhile since a Milwaukee team had a chance at the World Series. They were last in
the World Series in 1982 when they were the American League representative vs. St. Louis Cardinals.
Milwaukee lost the Series in 7 games that year.

Their history is deep. I forgot to mention before the Braves moved to Milwaukee, they were known
as the Boston Braves. You see where I’m going with this?

Machado hits a solo home run in his first at-bat vs Gonzales. Kiki Hernandez hits Gonzalez hard a foot or 3 short of a home run.

Gio is being hit hard. Gonzalez has never been a true strike out artist.

Woodruff replaces Gonzalez to start the third inning. I guess Council has little faith in Gio, WTF did they pick him up for it.
What- is Counsell going to make this a bullpen game. PS- imho I never cared for Craig Counsell not as a player not as a manager. His batting stance looked like a monkey trying to scratch his ass and balls, bending over backwards with a baseball bat.

I love those Harvey Wallbangers of 1982. Back then I still enjoyed watching the Angels. It was a hell of an ALCS in 1982. It didn't bother me the Halos lost, although I wanted to see the singing Cowboy win the BIG one before he died. (1986 the year I damn near burned my wife's Angels starter coat, Jersey, turtleneck, hat Etc).

I was so beyond pissed when Gene Mauch pulled Bobby Witt from the mound in game 5 of the 86 ALCS. I knew from that moment on the Angels would not go to the World Series. Only one thing worse than a Yankees losing, is the Red Sox winning. I literally had her Angel Garb in a pile in the garage, and was holding a can of lighter fluid getting ready to pour it on the pile when she walked in the door.

I enjoyed the 1982 Harvey Wallbangers though. The 1982 World Series the world series of beer. Strohs, Schlitz, Erlanger & Old Milwaukee versus Anheuser Busch.
The very first World Series I watched with my Newly Wed wife, 1982.

One of the very best pitching duels if not the very best pitching tools I have ever seen, Warren Spahn vs Juan Marichal.
Perhaps the most incredible pitching duel in the history of baseball, when I will never forget. The things Legends are made of, not to mention Willie Mays won that game with a solo home run.
1-0 / 16 inning masterpiece...

regardless of this games outcome, I'm gonna have a blast rubbing Yasmani Grandal's pitiful perfomance in the local Bums Fans faces..

I've been saying since Grandal arrived, he's a Minor Lg Catcher at best.

Instead of a runner on 3rd and 2nd with 2 outs, and a brilliant diving catch, robbing a smoking hit line drive by D. Freese, due to Grandal's Catchers interference, it was bases loaded and 1 Out.
Followed by a Sacrifice fly to CF/Bellinger, who threw home errantly, and Grandal misplayed the throw; roflol...

Brewhaha's 2-Bums 1..

Dodger defense is giving this game away. Brew crew up 5-1 bottom 5th. Kershaw
definitely is human. Hader pitched the 5th inning, and he’s the Brewers’ closer!
In fact, they have several closer-type pitchers.

Did anyone notice the guy in an orange sweat shirt sitting in first row behind the plate is shaking
his Voo-Doo doll. I can’t tell if he’s a Dodger fan or a Brewers’ fan. Gotta be a Brewers’ fan......it’s been
a long time. LOL

Stanton would fit in very well with this Dodger team.....home run or bust is their MO.
Cashman, do it!

I'd love to see Stanton return to LA where he was raised. He lettered in 3 sports, fb, bb, and basketball, imo his best performances were in order-
1- football
2- basketball
3- baseball

at Notre Dame Prep in Sherman Oaks, California, best known for his touchdown catches and booming punts with the Knights football team and his 21-point average on the basketball court.

He was a .200 hitter as a junior, No. 7 in the batting order, not exactly the stuff that impresses college coaches or Major League Baseball scouts.

He knew he'd have a short career, even if he was successful in Football, he'd of made a bundle of $$$ perhaps, but have that Short Career....

Basketball, he perfomed at a high level in high school, yet at 6'7" he'd of never made a strong forward, or a high scoring guard....

Baseball, the sport he excelled in least. He chose MLB and screwed us all....

Hader is pitching his 3rd inning. Only once has he pitched 3 innings. Took something off his fast ball
to Machado. Hader is filthy fast. Kemp singles. Gets Hernandez. Two outs. Kemp to 2B on wild pitch.
Bellinger flies out. 5-1 bottom 7.

Makes sense.

Aguilar takes pitch to right field stands. 6-1 Brew crew. His 12th opposite field HR.....wow,
I’d like to see him in a Yankee uniform! Cleveland Indians let him go & Brewers picked him up
on waivers! Where the f*** was Cashman and his analytics?

Aguilsr deposits Urias "the boy Wonder's" offering over the right-field wall, 6-1 Milwaukee...

I have heard an excessive amount of (local-LA) bullshit over hype on Urias "the Boy Wonder" for several years now.

This kid was supposed to be phenomenal 3 years ago. I knew it was bullshit then and it's obvious as bulshit now...

It's hard to believe the Brewers won 96 games and were the best team in the National League.
Thru June, July and August they won 40 games and lost 39...

The bums lost six consecutive games to the very lowly Cincinnati Reds this year. The Reds manhandled the Bums & they didn't just beat them; they beat the shit out of them.
Wasn't that long ago the local LA sports news went from bombasting the blue crew who Won 25 & Lost 28 from April-May.

One thing the Bums did do right, which very few teams can pull off, was obtaining 2 Gold Gloves in the middle infield, Machado and Dozier...

Bases Loaded for Machado top of the 8th.
A grand slam will make it a one-run ballgame. The perfect hitters for this situation Machado...

Machado has driven in all Dodger runs so far. Nix that.Kemp just drove in run #4. Still two outs in
Dodger 8th. 6-4 Brewers. Puig is pinch hitting. Looks like he’s swinging for the fences.
Jeffress Ks Puig.

Machado with the bases loaded hits a liner to LF driving in all three runs.

Kemp follows up driving and run number 4.
Just to think this is the same Kemp the Bums traded, and gave up on because he was injury-ridden. His integrity was also questioned during the era of Dugout goof offs/primadonnas i. E. Hanley Ramirez and Puig...

Eric Kratz picked up from the Yankees is 5 for 8 this post season. Good for him.

What a horrible call by home plate umpire. If the pitch were any lower, it would have been a passed ball.
Well, that sucked. Talk about inconsistent umpiring! That should have been ball 4.
I do not blame Kratz for being upset.

Tough game for Yelich.....3Ks and GIDP. Still would like him in Yankee pinstripes.

Corey Knebel pitches the 9th inning. The same pitch umpire called Kratz out, he calls
a ball. Inconsistency. Walks Peterson. Taylor triples in Pederson off Cain’s glove. 6-5.
Turner up. Tying run on 3B. Two strikes on Turner. 2-2 count. Ks Game ovah!

Kershaw: every time that guy pitches in the post season you can hear Bonnie Tyler singing "It's a heartache" after each loss. A lot of bad twitter comments came out on Kershaw after the game. No Cashman don't even think about signing this guy if he decides to opt out. Let him join Brother Greinke in Arizona. The Milwaukee Braves, yes I remember them had some pretty damn good ball players, Aaron, Eddie Matthews, Joe Adcock, Warren Spahn & of course Lew Burdette from Nitro West Virginia. Yankees lost the '57 Series came back down 3-1 to retake the crown in '58. Imagine the hoopla in LA if the Dodgers lose this series after making those trades at deadline time.

Turner's the very One; Of all Dodger batters, of all Bums you'd want in a game on the line just as you called it CL. The prrfect one with the clutch intangibles & B'Avg (.312), .406 OBP% one wants in this kinda Game on the Line situations, well in most games.

Tho Woody Woodpeck-Turner had the best B'Avg/OBP of all Bums during the Season; he failed to live up to the hype last night. JT's usually a tough out incl Post Season, Machado & Kemp had the hot bats, both 2/4 with Taylor 3/5, between (b/t) the 3, they had all 5 Ribbies.

Machado was the Man last night no doubt, more than a one man band with the first 3 Ribbies....

Hey Trashman Ya' need a SS...~!!!~

Imo Kershaws the most overrated, overpaid, overhyped SP in the game.
I've long fumed hearing the incessant bullshit comparisons to the one & only Dodger Epic Legends & incredible Koufax.

Tho I've never been a Bums Fan, I admired Koufax & Kershaw is like comparing Stanton with The Mick.

LA Fans & sports anchors are the Worst.
Ohtani's Ruth's equivalent & CK is Koufax....

I'm pretty sure it was Willie Stargell who made the comment that kitting Koufax was like trying to eat soup with a fork.

ROFLMAO...

I Damn near forgot that one... :biglaugh:

63 W.S. - I do recall Mick asking the HP Ump- "How the hell am I supposed to hit those" i.e. a Blazing Smoking Fastball from hell followed by an offspeed unhittable curve...

Tho Mick went 1/7 with 1 HR & 1-BB; got some lumber on the ball.

Tho- (as you know better than I), a 4/3 W.S. record, his .095 ERA (W.S. Avg) et al were stunning to say the very least, stunning (hiccup)...
