Damn, Tech with the nice screen. TD. 0-7

Mariota showing off his arm. 5 plays, 63 yards, 1 min. 7-7

I think this Thomas kid is going to be good.

Only Thomas can make a fumble look that pretty.

I still think this Thomas kid is going to be good.

To be honest, Mariota's looked average since that first game.

Although it WAS a weak opponent, I like Morita's passing better then the first 2 games. A bit more zip and authority.

This game is very disappointing.

I didnt see a minute of this game, and no replay that I can find for a while... but out of curiosity... what would have made this game not disappointing?

The first half the duck defense came out to lay paint, plain and simple! They showed energy but made a bunch of stupid late hits, and against a good team that could kill ya...."USC, Stanford, AZ" at the same time it was good to see them wanting the other team to know they were going to get smacked anytime they touched the ball. They just need to clean it up a bit and stay focused.

On offense... Pharoah, Stanford and Marshall all played good true freshmen minutes and we need them to come through later this year. Great learning block! Marcus looks good, DAT is DAT and Bennett looks like a QB who's really a running back to me. Glad Mariota is starting....

Now bring on the Pac!

I just want to see smarter play from the team. A couple of late hits out of bounds that were obvious calls against us, a stupid move by DAT to try to field a punt in traffic, and Mariota finally got caught by a secondary doing all the things that we've been talking about for weeks.

Shit, we had over a 100 yards in penalties against a shit opponent. This is very concerning to me.

Obviously this is a very young team, and we lost a lot of our veterans to the draft (James/Thomas) and to injuries (Boyett/York), but these guys have to be smarter than that. I don't expect them to always know the right play, or play like seniors, but I do expect them not to block in the back or hit a guy who is already out of bounds. Just a lot of bonehead moves that will severely cost us against a better opponent.

Example: against LSU it only took a couple fumbles by DAT to cost us the game. You simply can't make errors against good teams or they will make you pay.

I actually watched it to see how some 3rd stringers would look.

I like Pharoah, Stanford and Buckner right now... Marshall will be a huge work horse for us and all 4 of these true freshmans will be big parts to our success this year!

yeah thats what I did for Ark State, and was hoping to do for Fresno St. Was like watching paint dry at times, but I wanted to watch the young guys too much lol
