Thinking how wiped out I feel and remembering Vietnam antiwar protests when we marched for miles, then had a party and danced for hours and if we were lucky took someone home with us. I am a long long way from 17.

250,000 in Chicago. No arrests. No arrests in New York or DC. Haven't yet heard of other cities.

How many cities of 250,000 go a day with zero people arrested?

I can't remember where I saw it, but somebody posted that a French friend of theirs said "the trouble with your American protests is that you just schedule it for one day. You've got to just keep showing up day after day until they're forced to give in"

People who attend protests are likely to sign up for more activities. Joining a group, supporting a campaign , even running for office. People who stay home get isolated, depressed, overwhelmed. Which is why administration did everything they could to discredit protests and keep people away.
