I'm not surprised. There weren't issues both sides were so far apart on that a labor peace couldn't be reached. Both NBA and MLB seems to have figured out a lockout doesn't help anybody. As for the NFL..... Well-

The NBA’s 36-and-over rule that prohibits players from signing a five-year maximum contract if their 36th birthday falls during the life of the deal has changed to a 38-and-under rule, league sources said. Several members of the union’s executive committee, including president Chris Paul, vice president LeBron James and executive committee member Carmelo Anthony could benefit financially from the rule. Under this change, Paul, a perennial All-Star, is eligible for a five-year, $207 million deal to stay with Los Angeles this summer.

Maximum roster size, though, will rise from 15 to 17 players, with the extra slots earmarked for players on "two-way contracts," as seen in the NHL. Those contracts stipulate that a player's salary is based on NBA minimums when the player is "up" and an estimated $75,000 when the player is on assignment in the NBA Development League.

I've seem this happen in baseball all the time. Luckily enough they raised the luxury tax so high that only the Dodgers seem to want to play dangerous. But it'll be cool to see which franchise
signs the NBA equivalent of the Jacob Ellsbury deal. With the way the hard cap in the NBA is, some team will literally be stuck paying a guy NOT to play.
