Danilo Gallinari Is Not Coming To New Jersey: Sorry to say, but if you want to see the Italian Stallion, better pay the toll fee and snag a ticket to MSG. While the 6-9 forward did bark that he's only down for playing for the Knicks or Nets, chances are Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni will scoop him up in the sixth spot. And according to another regular reader and email – this one from Italy who covers the Euroleague – the ties between Gallinari's father, Vittorio Gallinari, and D'Antoni are too strong to snap. The elder Gallinari and Mike D played ball back in the day in Italy, and with the Knicks evolving into D'Antoni's uptemp offense, the younger Gallinari should be off the board when the Nets pick at 10.

Thoughts?

what a stupid article. I could name 100 things that aren't going to happen, and I'm pretty sure that at least 99 of them will be correct. Besides, anyone who thinks that NJ is east of Washington DC doesn't have any credibility.
 
I hope its true even though I am not sold on Danilo I would take him over 6'10 195 lb tweener with low IQ Anthony Randolph...least Danilo has intangibles

It's east of DC
 
new jersey is east of harrisburg. Harrisburg is north of DC. New Jersey is northeast of DC. you may think it is a quibble, but if you're a journalist, every single word has important meaning, and if you're going to take shortcuts, it reflects on your research and the overall content. If he cannot take the time to write--or understand--"northeast," then why should anyone believe that he isn't just making up every single word in his article? (which he is)

I agree the article sucked. However, saying east instead of northeast is not a big deal at all.

The Mets just flew into San Francisco not too long ago. How ridiculous is it that I read the Mets were going on a West coast trip, not a SOUTH West coast trip?

Bound: Headed or intending to head in a specified direction.

It is not eastern-bound. It is technically east of DC, but it still should be northeastern-bound.

Cape May (part of New Jersey, last I checked) is due east of Catholic American University (located in Washington DC).

Now the Nets may not play in Cape May, but parts of NJ ARE east of DC.

The article said eastbound 230 miles, which would lead you into the Atlantic Ocean.
