I'm left wondering, 'What does he need, then?' Another summer off from basketball? Followed by a lock-out year of rest? His knee hasn't been ok for how long? A year?
Sorry. I'm having a hard time keeping all these knees straight. The issue he had last year was with the other knee. It does not sound like the problem has been around for that long.

Really sounds like the Blazers and Roy aren't sure what to do.
Rest him for now and let it calm down but not sure what to do when he has to play because all it will do is flare up again.

From what I read he's had problems with this knee since 2008 before he hurt his right knee.
I would have much rather there been a solution lke when I take my kids to the Dr and he says they need antibiotics rather than "I'm not sure what it is? Monitor it and if it gets worse in a few days I will look at it again", but oh well.
And by saying no surgery and missing the next two games that will give him two weeks off since the last NO game and they're just hoping after that the problem will just go away. Even if it does for a little while(I wouldn't bet on it) I'm sure he'll be having the same problem at some point later season and the Blazers will be back at square 1.
I'd say goodbye to Roy playing more than 60 games a year if the only treatment they can use is rest.
60 games a year? And I thought I was a Blazers optimist.I'd say goodbye to Roy playing more than 60 games a year if the only treatment they can use is rest.
