cmon dude... thats a joke and BS from the blazers

I've long had my doubts about our medical staff.

You're not only the best reporter, but you also can coach better and take care of the players better than anybody else.

Hanging by a thread?!? Come on dude, now you're going to over exaggerate to try and make your point?

You've overreached. Whatever.

Fool me once ...

minor skirmish with Natebishop. Just looked through his posts, and I don't know exactly what was ban-worthy. I see that a couple got deleted, but how many people have posts deleted due to "personal attacks" without getting the boot?

If he was warned about doing it in the past, I understand the ban...

Just to clarify my own opinion on Pritchard.

My post wasn't directed at you. It was directed at the idiotic attention whores in this forum that post negative shit about my team no matter what. The team is healthy - KP fucked up, assembled too much talent and ruined the team chemistry. One player gets injured, and now the season is over before it started, and somehow KP fucked this up, too. Too deep, not deep enough. Make up your fucking mind. I know these people are just trolls who get their rocks off on his shit. I just personally find it annoying as hell and it ruins my enjoyment of this forum.

I come here for intelligent discussion about my favorite team. Perhaps my expectations are too high, but it's shit like this that dilutes the value of this forum. I absolutely don't mind disagreement. It keeps things interesting. However, I can't stand people who post negative shit just to post negative shit. I have these dolts on ignore, but I still see the titles of their threads, and their moronic comments when others quote them.

Tomorrow is opening night an I'm excited as hell about the upcoming season. Other than deep seated psychological issues (not enough attention from mommy, picked on by the jocks in high school, feelings of inadequacy, etc.) for the life of me I can't see what motivates these people. If they weren't so deliberately fucking annoying, I'd almost feel sorry for them. As it is, they are starting to get on my nerves (which is probably exactly what they want - fucking tools).

PapaG was only suspended temporarily (a week). There was further escalation of hostility in PMs, also (not to me, this is just my understanding). He hasn't been banned for good.

I just wanted to clarify that, so that people didn't wonder if their fellow posters were being quietly executed in the night. Beyond this, I won't comment further...I don't think it's appropriate, as a moderator, to discuss the details of other posters' circumstances.

Is there anyway that we could blame this on KP and the Blazer medical staff?

First they came for the Mariner's fans,
But I was not a Mariner's fan so I said nothing

A ban on the eve of the season opener? That's not a good omen.

I think this is what Mixum is saying (I've been hired as his spokesman). Batum had a little pain on and off over the months, causing him to usually tough it out, but sometimes to have to refrain from playing. The pain got more consistent during the preseason, causing the surgery.

Now, should the doctors or Pritchard have foreseen this need for surgery, and gotten it done earlier so as to minimize the impact on the season? Well, not being a doctor, I don't know the tests that would have predicted whether this thing would get worse, as it did. And I don't know whether it is customary to take preventive action or exploratory surgery, to find out.

Now that I typed out the logic here, I can see you need medical knowledge to take the logic any further, which I doubt Mixum has.

Years ago on the ESPN board, I thought Papa was a minor temper tantrum pest and I didn't especially like him, though he was the least of my worries. There were a half-dozen posters who hated me and were higher priority. He was annoyed with me, but not in the elite eight. Now I return and I see that he's still an SOB, but this time I like him. Somehow I like the causes he fights for, so I can take his stubbornness. (I think stubbornness has 2 n's.) Comcast needs enemies like PapaG!! He's okay.

Perhaps I need to go back and re-read the terms of service, but I thought that was one of the purposes of PMs--to allow disputes to be continued "offline" (so to speak).

From what I understand, this is the type of injury that only needs surgery if it gets bad enough.

So the doctors were counting on Batum to let them know when it hit that limit.

And he did last week.

Hindsight is 20/20. There was a decent chance that his shoulder would have healed all on its own without surgery. Were you Batum which would you pick? I know I sure as hell wouldn't go under the knife if it could be avoided.

BTW, a serious question for Mixum.

Why do you follow a team that brings you such misery?

He's a Bills fan--misery is all he knows.

The perhaps the Grizzlies would be more to his liking.

They are going to suck for the foreseeable future.

When he complains about the owner and GM he will actually be right on the money.

Seems like a win/win for MIXUM if you ask me.

I'm no labrum expert, but I think he had been experiencing swelling and discomfort, but no one had visualized a tear. It was just the last incident that caused the tear, although the ground was laid by his injury playing for France and the one he received later this summer.

You know, Mixum, you're one funny sumbitch, I don't care what they say about you...
