North Korea should be jealous

I think that's one of the things that makes me so uncomfortable about President Obama. He seems to welcome that cultish behavior. A normal person would be embarrassed by it.

An interesting juxtaposition.

I dunno man. Whether you like him or not, you have to admit that he's kind of a big deal to a lot of people. I don't think all of that is coming from Obama himself, but people's reaction to him.

And I gotta roll my eyes at the whole North Korea comparison. Bad joke.

He's a huge deal. He's a phenomenon like no other office holder of which I can think. Part messiah, part rock star. It doesn't make it any less creepy that he's cultivated and embraced this fawning, however.

Well it makes sense to a certain degree. The left is dedicated to socialist/communist principles. The idea of portraying their party leader as a god or cult hero would seem to me to be normal.

There's an old saying: Democrats fall in love; Republicans fall in line. I think it's been quite true of the past two elections.

romney called himself "unfit to be president", so even though obama sucks....yeah

So, why are you supportive of President Obama and his policies? What makes you hold the position they're the right direction for this country?

I think it'll be a good time when Republicans get their shit together and run a seriously good candidate, and at the same time the D's do the same.

I'm not sure it's happened at the same time more than a few times in the last 60 years. Maybe Nixon/Kennedy?

I would argue Bush/Clinton in 1992 was the last time we had two good candidates. Since then, at least one has been complete crap.

I mean this in all honesty...I thought Perot was the best candidate that year.

I can see that.

The whole "messiah" thing the right constantly attributes to him is bullshit. Nobody is affixing any spiritual aspect to him. Rock star I can see. How do you see him "embracing" the "fawning"?

I wouldn't go that far. It's like clouds - you can see what you want to see in streaks of paint.

Anyhow... Regarding the Obama flag...

I see the Obama campaign has redesigned the American flag, and very attractive it is, too. Replacing the 50 stars of a federal republic is the single "O" logo symbolizing the great gaping maw of spendaholic centralization. And where the stripes used to be are a handful of red daubs, eerily mimicking the bloody finger streaks left on the pillars of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi as its staff were dragged out by a mob of savages to be tortured and killed.

(Mark Steyn rocks)

It's no different than Camelot back in the days of JFK, which is the last time America had any hope.

Now, Mormonism, that's a real cult.

Clinton/Perot were the 2 best candidates in 1992.
