Camilo Villegas leads with a 63 at Riviera as Jordan Spieth soars to a 79
Camilo Villegas touched a finger to his temple.

He had just heard the shocking news.
While Villegas sat confidently in an interview chair after shooting one of the best rounds of his career, an eight-under-par 63 at Riviera Country Club, Jordan Spieth was hustling away from a day he only wanted to erase.

Jordan Spieth to miss cut at Northern Trust Open despite 68 on Friday
After posting an 8-over 79 on Thursday, Jordan Spieth needed to put together the round of the tournament on Friday just to make the cut at the Northern Trust Open.
The world's No. 1 player hit a 33 on the back nine -- his first nine -- with five birdies and looked like he might have a really low score in him to give him a chance at seeing the weekend at Riviera.

Bubba Watson saved par from near a concession stand to the right and down the hill from the 18th green Saturday at Riviera and shot a 4-under 67 to build a one-shot lead in the Northern Trust Open.
Watson will be going for his second victory in three years at Riviera.
