Maybe you should look. Because cities with Republican mayors have high crime rates as do rural areas.

So, what is your program for reducing crime? Does crime include January 6? Trump's misdeeds? DeSantis illegally shipping refugees? Does it include the attack on Paul Pelosi?

Other things to remember: there are cities like Jackson, MS, which leans left, but is run by the right wing state government, which pretty much keeps things as shitty as possible for the poor dark-skinned people that make up the populace.

You can look just about anywhere and most Americans believe that Republicans would do a much better job against crime than their Democratic counterparts. It really just is what it is....

If it were up to me, I'd pour massive dollars into educating, training, and well-paying our cops.
 
Cops don't prevent crime. Sometimes they commit it. At best they step in after a crime takes place.

Biden is doing more for domestic investment than any president in recent history....he's bringing computer chip manufacturing back to the states and upgrading rapid transit trains so the alternative to driving will be faster, cheaper and a safer way to commute....global warming is going to get addressed under Democratic leadership...Republicans want to pollute and abuse resources for short term profits because the wealthy don't think they'll suffer from global warming as they're already too old to have much future anyway or in some cases...they want to see the world burn and fulfill some Armagedón fantasy that will end their earthly suffering.....yeah...it's not looking too bright these days if the GOP takes over again. As they haven't really been held accountable yet, I'm not happy about the state of this country. Let's hope the youth of our voting population wake up and take control of the future soon.

I'm a registered Republican so I get that attention very often. I vote a straight Democrat ticket because Republicans won't let anyone win fair and square unless it's a MAGA Republican and that's not how red blooded America works.

Dems should back off on wedge issues and just focus on protecting rights and access to education, healthcare and improving the social safety net.

There are very popular policies that make a ton of sense. Stick to those.

But Dems have their own corporate overlords to appease...

FWIW, I've always wanted balance to the extent that it can be done. I'm also hopeful for the future of my kids and grandkids. Biden draining our current oil reserves doesn't seem prudent. We still need to keep drilling now with an expiration date on that. Continue to incentivize auto manufacturers to produce EV vehicles. Again, though, we're still dependent on fossil fuels. Realize that, and drill accordingly.
 
Gerrymandering will be the biggest topic of this election. this shit needs to stop, and it’s gonna take a lot to do it.

expand the Supreme Court first, then a pass a Bill (HR 1) banning partisan gerrymandering.

this must happen or our democracy is dead

Last year in Portland over 20 officers made over $200,000

Police and training are very similar to how you post here. You make some bigoted posts and then claim you didn't know better. Just like the police, they fuck up they claim it's a lack of training, but if they get the training they can no longer use the lack of training as an excuse.

This is the BS republicans keep pushing, that we are not drilling for oil. In 2015 the US produced 567 million Metric tons of oil. In 2021 the us produced 711 million metric tons of oil. The US is drilling and producing more oil now then ever, but listen to you and the fellow republicans and the oil fields are shut down. Let me guess. OPEN THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE, so canada can send their oil to the gulf and shipped over seas. It is amazing to me that lies republican's tell and you and the rest just eat it up. it is easy to refute these lies it, but the cult members won't believe it. So tell us how we need to keep drilling when we are producing more oil then ever.
