Having been to Misery (Missouri) several times they’re pretty fucking stupid, too.

Go down to the ozarks and it’s like you’re in a different world.
Missouri definitely in the running. For work a few years ago I was there, far outside St Louis, rural. Yikes. But I could say same for rural Texas, rural AZ…America gets real weird in a lot of places.

Gotta admit, I was a little discouraged about this election until you posted this.

Once I saw you say 'red wave', I knew it wasn't going to happen.

You're absolutely correct. Similar to 2016, many polls weren't indicative of the election results.

BTW, were you at all surprised by DeSantis's drubbing of Crist? I figured he'd win, but not by that much.

Red wave is maybe a tide pool. Almost all gains due to redistricting, not flipped seats. And there were flips in both directions.

Listen to women.

We kept hearing that women's rights were fading as issue. Chris Christie mansplained to a group of women that abortion rights weren't important. Pollsters focused on nonstop Fox "crime" reports of scary dark people.

And in the end, women turned out.

No. Not at all. With his gerrymandering, voter suppression via his new laws and refusal to let liberal hurricane victims vote, not to mention his refusal to let the feds look in on voting in liberal areas, it's no wonder there are no Democrat politicians left in office in Florida. I guess that's how you do it.

If true, why didn't Crist see through all that and campaign accordingly? This ain't Crist's first rodeo. 20% is a HUGE margin!

Funny how politics has become like sports ... the losers always have excuses for why they didn't win ... that's a fact whether you vote red or blue.

We need to lift the embargo on Cuba. Florida is a lost cause

In 2024 go hard in NC, AZ, Georgia and Texas. I wouldn’t bother with Florida or Ohio

Tell me you don't know how gerrymandering works without telling me you don't know how gerrymandering works.

Prove to me that gerrymandering was a key in Crist's loss and I'll answer your question. Go.
