devin harris would have to be the realistic centerpiece of any deal with the mavericks.</p>
terry works salary wise, but the nets have reason to take terry back with what he's owed, that would be extremely foolish.</p>
the mavs aren't gonna trade howard, and if they did, talks would center around him, but it won't happen.</p>

Not true. The Nets have all the leverage, and now is the perfect time to deal him. he is a unique talent, and everyone sees how Team USA is undefeated when he plays on it. Every star in the league wants to play with him, and right now every one of them is texting their GMs demanding that they try to acquire him. The question is whether they are willing to sell their soul to do so. There is always one idiot (see: sacramento signing Mikki) and that's all it takes. Rod is playing this perfectly by signalling that he will listen to offers but will not give Kidd away. If the Nets play this right, they will just need a half-season to rebuild, like they did when they acquired Carter. The question is whether they will give the reins to Marcus or acquire another starting PG.</p>
