Are there any other conspiracy nerds out there who want to believe the books are cooked for the Golden Knights? First pro team ever in Vegas and they’re the favs to win the Stanley Cup as an expansion team? I love a good conspiracy!

In 2008 the Washington Capitals extended their franchise player Alexander Ovechkin. The deal was a record-breaking one in the NHL at $124-million dollars over 13 years. At the time Ovechkin was considered the top three player in the league. He's been one ever since. But he's also faltered in the playoffs. The capitals have been eliminated in the first or second round of the playoffs nine times since 2003. This is the furthest they've gone.

The Golden Knights are comprised of cast off players plucked from the expansion draft. They were expected to finish dead-last. Instead they finished first and made it to the Stanley Cup finals in their inaugural season. It makes no sense. The Stanley Cup is the supposedly hardest trophy in all of sport to win.

Considering the sportsbooks in Vegas are going to lose a shitload of money if Vegas wins, I would think there would be some people that would wind up dead if there was a conspiracy to make them win.

Unless all the biggest bets were made by insiders with connections to the casinos! The plot thickens..

Vegas will lose a ton if the Knights win.

What I miss??
The sign spells the city's name with no caps but Las Vegas is normally spelled with a capital 'L' and a capital 'V'.

Are you saying you didn't notice this? I thought it was obvious.
