Not the worst lineup we've had on the floor this season... remember this one?

Marks / Babbitt / Rudy / Joel / Mills

I just read this thread and it still blows me away how much people hate on your own team. I can understand being critical, but damn!

Well, it's just a vocal minority. I think.

If that is the way Brandon Roy is gonna play, then we have a chance. He scored within the offense, and didn't dominate the ball one time. Great overall game by the team. The ball still has to go through LA

Alright this is some eerie shit right here. I remembered Roy hitting a similar shot against DEN his rookie year, and finally found video of it.

(about 1 min into the vid) Check out the score, and listen to MB's call of the play. All same.

We lost that game in OT, btw.
Nice video. Made me sad to see Lucas :(

I completely agree. This is how I want to see B-Roy used. LaMarcus playing like this finally allows this team to play inside-out and with Miller's hand on the tiller it would be a damn shame to go back to the old ways of the 1-4 flat where nobody cuts, screens or curls and just waits for number 7 to bail them out. With Brandon's minutes restriction I don't think this is going to be much of an issue, but it's still nice to see Brandon playing off the ball and being part of the offense instead of all of the offense.

Even you have to admit that Nate looks like he's finally coaching this team to play a brand of basketball that is not only fun to watch, but also has the potential to win some games when it really matters after the middle of April. I hope it keeps up.

Interesting note from the box score....when you look at the minutes played by Denver, their new guys played big minutes (Along with Nene) while their three oldest Vets (Smith, Andersen, and Harrington) all played less than 20 minutes.

I wonder how long that lasts before those three start bitching. Especially Smith. From watching Chandler and Gallinari shoot the 3 last last night, I would guess Smith will be gone before next year. he played pretty well last night too.

Great win last night and I am totally pissed off because I got called into work and couldn't go to the game. I ended up watching the end on ESPN3 from my desktop at work. Great effort across the board, and way to nut up by Rudy and Roy to get us into OT last night. That win was the type of win that can spark a streak, and I am hopeful with Camby coming back, and Crash coming on board, that the team might just get the lift they need coming down the stretch of the season. If you also consider that Joel might be bought out, we might get him back in a month too. With Roy sparking off the bench, this could be really interesting to see how this team ends the season and heads into the playoffs.

Also I want to give Denver some props. They played well. I like the look of their new team without Melo and I think it will be solid going forward.

That's how he played as a rookie, in my recollection. As an exciting addition to the offense, but not the offense himself. So the way I like to look at this is that Portland is adding a rookie Roy. He probably won't play as many minutes as he did in his rookie season, but in the minutes he does play, he may give the team what he gave them as a rookie.

If you take this team and add Camby, Wallace and a "rookie Roy" to it...that's actually a pretty damn good team.

So here's the crazy parallels:
Same opponent, same score, same shot, both to go to overtime. Same MONTH (the Denver game was 2/7/2007) even. And our final score (107 points) was the same both times.

I'm superstitious... I believe in signs. This is a Good Sign.

hopefully with a full roster miller won't feel the need to force shots so much down the stretch.

Somewhere in Hawaii, Don Nelson was smiling.

This is kinda worthless, especially after the fact, but Afflalo didn't even get the three pointer off on time during the last play.

Just something I noticed.

Ya, Barrett mention that they would have reviewed it and it wouldn't have been any good.

Not worthless! It means our defense, and not a bad miss by Denver, won the game there. It's nice to know when you have your destiny in your hands, even retroactively.
