PORTLAND, Ore. - Nate Robinson couldn't watch the final play of the Knicks' fourth straight loss.
Robinson, a victim of many crushing late-game Knicks losses, stood by the bench with his back facing the court as the Blazers inbounded to Brandon Roy with 4.3 seconds left last night, trailing by one point.
"If there's cheers, they won. If not, we win," said Robinson, a friend of Brandon Roy's from Seattle. "I don't know if he made a jumper or what."
It wasn't a jumper. And it wasn't a Knicks win. All Robinson heard was Portland pandemonium as the Knicks, who blew a 13-point fourth-quarter lead, suffered their season's most heartbreaking loss.
