Ellsbury 0 for his last 19
McCann 0 for his last 15
Teixeira 0 for his last 13
Gardner 0 for his last 10
A -Rod is 2 for his last 17

3 players are hitting over there last 10 games, Beltran (342), Gregorius (323) & Headley (293)

5 culprits, Gardner (114), Ellsbury (116), McCann (181), Teixeira (223) & A-Rod (225)

This may be a time to shake things up a little.

How so? No one is able to be brought up...

There would be if they'd release Drew. And than maybe give Ellsbury a few days off & try Didi's hot bat at the top of the order. I mean what the hell, at this point there's nothing to lose.

The big bats need to hit. Really no getting around that. Bringing up unproven minor leaguers in a pennant race isn't the answer.

...you mean like Severino?

...Drew and Jones are certainly not the answer either. Judge and Refsnyder will likely be called up in a couple weeks anyway.

Severino is the best prospect and was dominating. Not to mention they needed an arm. Judge has struggled in AAA at the plate so I wouldn't assume he's an automatic call up as he might be better served where he is.

Vic, as I mentioned in another thread, even if Refsnyder hits 230-240 for the rest of the season, its still better than what Drew is doing. Its a win-win.

...so you seriously think Jones is a better option than Judge?...c'mon.

...and as rick said, Refsnyder can't be worse than Drew.

...and Severino was by no means blowing batters away in AAA...he's done OK so far but I'll reserve judgment on him till he proves he can pitch well vs a really offensive team like the Jays (this Sunday)...the Red Sox and Indians don't count.

this is spot on. just do not understand how judge n refs are not playing everyday. how drew is on this team is a complete joke.

What I'm saying is that if Judge is struggling at the plate at the moment in AAA. Why bring him up here where he's not going to play every day?

...because he's still a better option than Garrett fucking Jones who isn't playing every day either...Jones is a complete waste of a roster spot.

...and like I said, the general consensus is that Judge will be a September call up anyway...I don't think 8-10 in the minors is going to help him...let the kid play.

Play where? He would mostly sit on the bench. That's the point.

...well, for one thing, he's a definite defensive upgrade over Jones/Beltran...and probably better than Young too.

...and again, Jones has been doing nothing but sitting on the bench himself and he has no business being on the roster. No one is saying Judge should be the starting RHer and like I said, he's gonna be called up in September anyway so another handful of games in SWB are not gonna make much of a difference. Judge and the rest of the September call ups won't necessarily get much playing time either...I think it's more about the experience of being/playing/traveling with the big team.

...we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, mess.

...lol...I just saw that Jones has been DFA'd again...replaced by,............................................................................. Capuano !

...and Pinder replaced by Goody ?

...turning point.

Goody fine but recycling assholes like Capuano makes me sick.

Capuano! WTF is Cashman smoking?

Or he has pictures of him & the fat one legged circus midget..................oops! I meant small person.

lol. all the best to you my old friend. i would love to see this team to get rid of cashman. so sick of what he does.

...damn, a musky sighting and a majorball sighting?...all in the same day?

...I'll be back later...I'm going out to buy a lottery ticket !

Speaking of shaking it up, do you remember when the Yankees were going through a stretch like this with Martin and he pulled the lineup out of the hat and I think the Chicken ended up batting cleanup.

Remember it well Frank, that was called......................................................having balls. Currently we lack that.

The player carousel going round and round in this organization
is proof that the people making these call ups are clueless.

Another way to look at 'the plan' in action:
Let's see .............Pick 2 from column A and send back 1 from
column B.

Economizing in Yankeeland. A complete joke.

God I pray a reporter heard Trashman say at his Java Juice Station, "Cappacino" instead of Capuano.........this one is a blunder, revealing the idiot Trashman has stooped too.

The good thing about Judge, Severino too, is the Team has nothing to lose by bringing both to the Roster, and everything to lose (A Pennant or WC); by Not bringing them in early. (more in this case Judge, since Luis is already up)......

as stated, what's the reason to keep Judge down in AAA for a few another week of games, when He could be used in The Bronx. Even if he isn't ripe, or doesn't catch on right away, and under a duress of a call up at that, He will still find his comfort zone soon.

Judge looked a bit off, or rather almost over whelmed by the Media and attention in the Futures Game, his first at bat. By his 2nd at bat, one could see in his facial expression alone, he had got past the jitters, and was out to kill the ball. That he did, ripping a screaming 97 mph high fastball from E. Diaz, with a one hopper, deep down the LF line, when the 3rd bagger (Renato Nunez-A's) got his glove on it......but was way too deep to make a throw at all......

I think it could be a BIG mistake the Yanx make this year, by NOT bringing up the horses, while they can, and hell yes, lets let Drew and Jones both go, DFA, walking papers, or Firing Squad, I'll take either......!!!

Since Trashman has NO trades this year to speak of, by the 7/31 deadline, this IS the reason, why Teams don't go out, & trade top prospects for big FA arms, when they have Minor Lg talent rearing to go, IMO.........!!! To do neither is wreckless, but at least, the Yanx have to get some bang out of their call ups, since there is no bang of a trade, or Winter meetings, if we want to go that far back. I see this as one of few moves, for Trashman to save face, over the pitiful year he's had, or NOT had........! (just my 2 cents, or a old hard stale, piece of bazooka gum worth.........)......

Its getting really tough to look over the pile of shit that the Yankees have been handing us (fans) lately.

Why in the hell did you trade Jay Buher for?
