Just kidding with the fake quote, but this is indeed a real story.

I'm trying to find some sources for this story but that is what MSNBC is reporting. A good move to try and bury this story over the weekend.
 
Why?

I think it makes him look like he isn't loyal to his friends, and it's clearly politically motivated anyway.

What do you mean why? It was a lame church, and he had given it plenty of chances.

He joined it for political reasons as well, it doesn't matter if he left because of politics.

He doesn't share the views of his friends.

I saw Obama talking about it, and he even said himself that it was for political reasons. At least he is being honest.
 
It was a good move, the longer he would be affiliated with them, the more stuff for his opponents to use.
