Screw the AK, get a mini 14. The 30 round magazines are much lighter loaded up, only 55 grain bullets instead of 150grains. Makes a big difference in the weight of a magazine. Full auto is bull shit anyway unless you have a mule to carry the ammo.

The Ruger is American made but according to Maris owning one doesn't make you a Real American. I want to be a Real American, I want Russian only.

If you had read my post, rather than becoming Mr. Sarcastic, you'd see that Obama has found a loophole. Right now, it's just Russian AKs, sure, but all Obama has to do is start sanctions against Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria, and that's the end of AK-47s. Beyond that, he can impose sanctions against every other nation that manufactures guns, including America, and suddenly Rugers become contraband too.

Please try thinking two steps ahead. Obama is, in his war on guns.

Actually I don't have links, but I was just in a gun shop and they sold out of their AK-47s. I know them personally, so I asked if they sold them for a premium. He said they sold out 4 days ago with a 20% premium.

My sister has a colt python that her father gave her. She had that gun appraised and it was $4,000. When the python was out, they were $1,200 guns. The premium is because they don't make them and finding them is rare.
