Obama under pressure to release secret pages of 9/11 report 'showing Saudi Arabia financed attacks'

A long running campaign over redacted pages of a Senate report into 9/11 which allegedly reveal Riyadh as the principle financier is gathering new momentum

The Obama administration is facing renewed pressure to release a top secret report that allegedly shows that Saudi Arabia directly helped to finance the September 11 attacks.

Rand Paul, the Libertarian Republican senator from Kentucky, is demanding that Mr Obama declassify 28 pages that were redacted from a 2002 US Senate report into the 9/11 attacks.

Mr Paul, who been vocal in attacking the bulk NSA spying programmes revealed by the rogue security contractor Edward Snowden and is running for president in 2016, has now promised to file an amendment to a Senate bill that would call on Mr Obama to declassify the pages.

The blacked-out pages, which have taken on an almost mythical quality for 9/11 conspiracy theorists, were classified on the orders of George W. Bush, leading to speculation they confirmed Saudi involvement.

In related news Saudi Arabia is offering to fund Rand Paul's presidential campaign if he would just forget about this.

Interesting. Since the Saudis are major sponsors of the Neo-Con drive for war with Iran, this is going to put Rand in deep sewage with his own party.
 
It's always been known that 9/11 was a Saudi-funded attack. It's always been known that the actual attackers were Saudis themselves.

And it's always been known that the major Saudi families involved, including the Bin Ladens, have close personal ties with the Bush family.

It's always been clear that 3,000 Real Americans were murdered by traitors among their government and the Saudi government and that 3 or 4 countries were leveled and that terrorism spread to dozens of countries all because a couple dozen 1%ers wanted to gain control of more oil fields and exert more leverage over oil prices.

All of this was reported by nearly every non-major news outlet around the globe as early as October 2001, and re-reported for several years, until it was apparent that the American Sheeple really are too chickenshit to want to know.

I haven't seen speculation (guesses). I have read reporters repeating what they read or heard from the FBI and intelligence agencies. For example, a couple of the 19 hijackers had been tracked flying into Southern California, and meeting with a top guy in the local Saudi consulate, with paid hotels, rented cars, etc.

The collective American memory works only if the media repeats information for years. A 1-day article is soon consigned to "speculation" by the few readers who remember it. If you run the media, you run American opinion.

Obama has spent many years in both New York and Washington, the two places that were attacked on 9/11. Coincidence? Those terrorist fist-bumps are no laughing matter. According to the Law of Nations, Obama is a citizen of Saudi Arabia.

How about we wait and see what the redactions actually were instead of going all in on the conspiracy theory?

How will we know if the redactions were really what was redacted and not something written to replace what was redacted?

How do we know the redactions actually happened and that there was anything left out? Maybe this is all a smokescreen to keep conspiracy theorists distracted from the REAL ISSUE, which probably involves the Federal Reserve and GOLD???

You want sources? Every sentence in this is followed by its source. I found it with a 5-second Google search on the first page. That should tell you that there is much, much more credible stuff easily found. Why not educate yourself instead of saying after 12 years, "Why not wait?"

Aren't there things about JFK's assassination that they keep putting off the release of? If the government hasn't released that they're not going to release everything about 9/11.
 
It's a moving target, changing as each deadline approaches. First they said the withheld JFK documents would be released in 10 years, then in 20, then 40, then 50...It's now 52 years later. What do they say now, 75? Surely everyone they're covering up is dead. What they're hiding is the process, which would overthrow faith in those who rule over us.

Anyway, I posted to this thread because the article editorialized that any connection between the hijackers and Saudi Arabian involvement is speculation.
