It just boggles my mind because it is literally the only situation where we are blaming the tool and not the person. It's like they don't even care what the REASON is for the shooting, they just want to rage about the method.
I know a lot of people like to compare guns to cars, but I actually think computers are a better comparison. When someone hacks the government, or Sony, or some celeb's cell phone or Ashley Madison, do we blame computers in general? No. We blame the hackers. We go after the hackers. We don't try to pass computer legislation to limit the usage of computers. We don't pass laws requiring the registration of computers. Lives were ruined when Ashley Madison was hacked. Some guys killed themselves. Ban computers, no?
