Obama's "Remarks" From the East Room

Yeah, I LOL'd at that, too.

Wow that's a bunch of bullshit. That dude has been dead for a long time. This smacks of a publicity stunt to boost numbers.

Obama gets Bin Laden, well done.

Uh, IF it is that bin Laden's dead, then it doesn't matter if it was a week ago or today. This is a pretty big deal.

Exactly, if it had happened under Bush they would have announced it. This is a key moment in the war on terror, because it now shows that we can get anyone.

Rumors now that OBL has been dead for a week, and we finally have confirmation.

Burn in hell, bin Laden, you sick fuck.

Yep, it only takes like ten years and billions of dollars in the meantime...

War on Terror
"This is the war that never ends
it goes on & on my friend
some people started doing it, they knew exactly what it was
but they'll continue doing it forever just because
this is the war that never ends"
repeat xInfinity

Good. They finally got that piece of shit.

If it's really him, that's great. One less threat to the US..... I still think it's bullshit to help Obama.

Obama is now 30 minutes late. Trouble loading the teleprompter?

I woke my wife up to see this, and her response is: "why am I seeing this from Geraldo instead of from the President? Isn't he stealing the President's thunder? Wouldn't he want to say it first?"

From the mouths of babes. :)

Now watch Obama get on TV and say he just wanted to talk to the nation about the NBA playoffs.

How would this help him much? I mean, I'm all for cynicism, but he's not regaining his left base from this, and I think that most hard-core righties are going to see this as a continuation of Bush's (and to be fair, Congress's) stubbornness in keeping up the Long War. I seriously think he's just as happy as most of the rest of us that we got our target. :dunno:

It takes some serious balls to give the go code to kill him in Pakistan, well done to the President and U.S. Intelligence assets.

:check: An air strike on a mansion in Islamabad? Hard core.

People gathering outside the WH and signing. This is a historic day!

I didn't hear air strike. Sounds more like a face to face operation with Pakistani intel and US intel folks.

I understand we flew an airliner into his house.

So far they have gone out of their way not to give Pakistan any credit.

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

Special Forces ground team went in so they could be certain they'd retrieve the body.

Steven Spielberg already in production on the movie as I speak.

depends on what you call "terrorist attacks".

Yeah, what about the refs during our series with the Mavs? When are they going to be brought to justice?
