Liz Nichols was pepper sprayed as she was part of a group attacking Portland riot police and she got a mouth full of pepper spray. So she sued and lost a unanimous verdict. Her initial lawsuit demanded $150,000 but the trial went poorly for her and it was lowered to $30,000 to the jury.

First of all, the cops were never needed. Any force was excessive. Most people including most on this jury have no idea where cops come from.

Thank God most juries see through these self created victims and judge by the merits and evidence

Since it was the Portland Police I guess she's lucky they didn't kill her. If they had, they would have probably have gotten away with that too. I grew up in NE Portland. I didn't trust the police then, and I see no reasoin to change my opinion now. They protect rich neighborhoods, they patrol poor neighborhoods.

She had her day in court and the jury spoke. They saw the video over and over and she still lost. The police didn't get away with anything. Have some run ins with the law?
