They haven't.

OWS currently has an approval rating of around 30%.

Congress has an approval rating of 9%.

It's clear that Americans would prefer the OWS protestors to run the country rather than let Congress continue doing it.

It's clear that 70% of the people aren't with the so-called 99%. Seems those people were busy stampeding each other to buy XBox at Walmart instead of shitting where they sleep in the park like a bum.

Hmm...

Physically attacking strangers in order to save $20 on a child's toy built by child slave-labor in China vs helping the poor by "walking a mile in their shoes".

There's choices to be made everyday, and they define who you are.

It sure wasn't the 1% who were shopping at Walmart.

The morons inhabiting it on Black Friday come from many walks of life. There's one born every day, after all.

They are not, nor do they have a snowball's chance in hell of ever becoming, the 1%.

But, The WalMart family is the very epitomy of the 1%. Probably the most anti-American business in the history of America.

President Obama is visiting the 0.001%, the 0.0001%, and the 1% respectively, as he begins his evening at a private gathering in Manhattan with "25 to 30 people, each of whom paid $10,000" to giggle and make small talk with a man whose brain is processing the implications of a possible ground war with Pakistan.

Next, the president travels to Gotham Bar and Grill for a fundraiser with 45 supporters who contributed $35,800 apiece, including "Caroline Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Seinfeld and Susan Sarandon

In a nutshell.

By F. Brinley Bruton, msnbc.com

LONDON -- Veteran activist the Rev. Jesse Jackson compared the global anti-capitalist movement to the U.S. civil rights struggle, the battle against apartheid in South Africa and the fight for Indian independence during a visit to an Occupy camp in London on Thursday.

"Jesus was an Occupier, born under a death warrant, a Jew by religion, born in poverty under Roman occupation," the two-time candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination told a crowd near Saint Paul’s Cathedral. "Gandhi was an Occupier, Martin Luther King was an Occupier, (Nelson) Mandela was an Occupier."

Lots of Jesus-haters on this board.

Perhaps this is another example of why you shouldn't drop out of Seminary and then call yourself "reverend".

Jesus wasn't born under a death warrant. He was born, and then when the Magi asked Herod where they could find him, he freaked out and ordered the murder of the Bethlehem male infants.

He wasn't in the manger because he was poor. He was in the manger b/c there wasn't any room at the inn (due to the census) when they got there. A poor couple wouldn't have had the funds to be able to afford a room if there was one. And he sure wasn't poor after the Magi gave him some gold.

Jesus' "father" Joseph was a builder/carpenter. They were rich enough to be able to travel to Jersualem for the Holy Days, rich enough to get Jesus educated to read and write (much less, in Greek).

Maybe this hypocritical glory-seeker should just go back to reading the Bible, and speaking to his constituency about what Jesus actually said about things like paying taxes and getting paid not to work.

Odd that someone who spent several years of his life trying to "spread the word" never put any of it writing. :dunno:
