Honestly I think they put a lot of buffer time in their to account for any set backs. This type of injury tends to heal pretty quickly. I would not be the least bit surprised if he's back by next weekend.
 
My games are on the 19th and 21st in Oakland and Sacramento so at least I will see Oden.
 
Whoah. I've been away too long. I used to be able to depend on crandc for a good looking cake as an avatar. Now it's beefcake?

I have had this injury, and 2-4 weeks is not a buffer
 
This is like the "whack-a-mole" game only it is the "Greg-is-Back" version. No matter how many times you squash an idea, another one pops up. Some have said this heals quickly, others not. Some have said the Blazers will baby him, etc.

After listening to the quick chat sounds like it'll be closer to 4 weeks than 2 weeks for a return. I just want him back healthy.

As a Wolves fan concerned for his wellbeing, I think he should sit out one more game than that.

Fargo is one of my favorite movies! I can't wait to get back to Minny to walk around town in those giant hamster like bridges and tunnels.

Haha I've never thought of it like that... and Fargo wasn't even filmed in Fargo. Damn I was really wanting to see Greg play, this really sucks. I can't make it to the second game in MN because I'll be at school.
 
I didn't realize they sent guys to school to become inbred school bus drivers!
 
My girlfriend just bought me tickets to the Blazers-Knicks game on Dec. 2nd. Oden better be back by then--and destroying the NBA!

My Prediction:

Wednesday, November 19th at home vs Chicago on ESPN/CSN
 
I think there will be a good two week period where Oden wants to play and feels like he can, and the Blazers will keep him out just to be sure it heals fully.

It's time to stop the babying of Greg.
 
Wheels said he would expect it not be anymore than 2 weeks and possibly sooner. The swelling was down considerably and Oden was anxious to get back on the court. I stick by my prediction of next weekend!
