Basically, he won't be ready for the start of next season.
You really think next season will start in November?

Is he not trying? He's working out so much they made him stop so he wouldn't get to big. Sheesh, this sounds about like what they originally said, a year from the last surgery. I can't understand all this neg towards Oden when from all accounts he does everything ask of him in rehab. I think this is why they don't like giving a time table because people will find neg from it no matter what.
You don't think it's strange MGB that he isn't even at the point where he can run yet? In fact, he won't even be at that point for 5 months? That's not weird?
I have an idea, no more talking about Greg til he is playing. Too depressing.
I'm pretty sure it was Greg exaggerating, not too long ago I read an article that was talking about him running on a treadmill unassisted.

Greg Oden spent a fair portion of his Thursday morning on a treadmill at the Trail Blazers practice facility, with a towel around his neck, running.
I'm rooting for the guy as much as anyone, and lament over what we COULD look like with him on the floor. But 10 months after his surgery, he begins running? A year recovery from microfracture is, from what I've read, a very conservative approach. Zach, for comparison sake, was back after about 6 months. I dunno...I guess every person is different, but....this is disheartening for sure.
