Miller only one to fail.

@BlazerFreeman Most interesting news of practice. Everyone passed Mac's annual conditioning test last night except one ... Andre Miller.

lots of enries worth noting...
As coach Mac promised, last year's starting 5 is together. Blake. Roy. Batum. LA. Przybilla.... Mac says today's first unit will start the preseason opener vs Sac.
Every player has left the practice court except one. Miller. He's working on jumpers with the Blazers' shooting coach.
Paul Allen on contract negotiations with LA: "We have made some progress there. So, yeah, I am optimistic."

I like Joe Freeman

Good to hear that Miller is staying late. Maybe he is worried he wont start?

Intrigue everywhere.

Not only did Miller not pass the test, but Blake set the all time best mark in the history of the test according to a Freeman tweet.

Oden looked amazing in the test also.

Miller I'm not too worried about, he's never been through one of Nate's training camps, and he's renowned for taking it easy during the summer. By the time the regular season rolls around I expect he knows just where he'll be in terms of conditioning.

Great news on the other guys though, I just hope their bodies hold up throughout the whole year and that they gave themselves enough rest during the off-season.

Of course Miller didn't pass. We already know he takes the summer off from basketball. I don't know if/what his summer exercise program is, but it's a good bet if he has one it isn't geared to passing Nate's test. Let's hope he puts in the extra work to get up to speed.

Great to hear Oden and Travis did well. It seems like Blakey is a major workout-a-holic. That's why he makes the big bucks in the NBA. He's like the poster child for overachieving.

I think Travis said he worked hard all of last summer as well but came with a throat infection to camp - so it took him some time to recover.

Given that Miller has missed a grand total of 3 games due to injury in 10 NBA seasons, I'm not worried about his conditioning. He obviously knows what it takes to get his body ready for the gind of an NBA season.

I'm glad Travis passed -- I hope he continues his improved offseason work in the future.

I'm a little more puzzled about Miller--everyone knows his injury-free history, and his propensity for relaxing in the offseason, but I thought he's been here for a few weeks? Did no one tell him what was coming? Or did he blow it off?

I think it'll be tough, just because of the minutes crunch. I still would like (and am holding out a little hope) that Travis can be smarter on the court when it comes to situational basketball (when to foul, when to drive, when not to zone out of the play, never shooting off-balance 22' jumpers with a hand in his face and 15 on the shot clock :) ). If his mind's right with his conditioning and the other work he's putting in, maybe the coaches can keep dropping knowledge on him until he gets it. Over 6 years, though, is a long time to not pick up things.

In his media-day interview video Travis claims he worked hard last year as well, but came to camp with a throat infection. Hard to complain about him flunking the test when he was sick, imho.

I'm impress by Oden's time! Same as Aldrige. He's got to be much faster than last year.

Aldridge was always fast - but Oden was supposed to be based on his pre-draft measurements. It is good to see that he regained his speed. When you consider that Oden who is much bigger than LMA was only 4 seconds slower then him for 20 back and forth runs - that's pretty stout.

This league is in for a rude awakening...

Plus he's white in the NBA, he's lots of ground to make up. Just sayin.

P.S. Mike Rice needs to stop with the whole "Blakey" thing. Leave that nickname for his wife to use!

My hats off to Outlaw for passing. I have ripped him the last several years for not showing up to camp in shape, and he has finally done so.

As for Blake, as soon as Miller was brought in I bet he was pissed off. What better way to focus it than to get himself into premo shape so he can compete.

it says incomplete for batum and fernandez for the test whats with that?
