wasn't the rumor he was supposed to start running and getting towards basketball activities in the summer?

Yes, but which summer?

I wonder how greg is doing. Will he be ready for a delayed(short) start to the season?

The only tidbits we got on Oden this summer was that he's working out and hitting the L.A. clubs like his life depended on it.

you expect to be updated daily that he's still on schedule when the league is locking the players out???

I understand that you want to be the site's official pessimist, but jebus...

Because of the lock-out, he can't have any contact with the team's medical/training staff. It doesn't take a terrible pessimist to suspect that isn't going to end well.

Hiring a trainer outside the organization is unheard of in professional sports

i dont get why everyones gotta be such dbags about a simple question. if you dont have an answer just dont right anything...

im pretty positive that jason quick and joe freeman dont work for the blazers, or any writers from blazersedge. they cant contact greg and ask how he's doing?

Sure it does. MF has an established timeline of about a year. Last we heard Greg was on schedule. He is (of course) still receiving the top 1% medical treatment available as dude is a bright multi-millionaire in a contract year. How many times have we heard that Greg is a slacker and isn't taking his rehab seriously?

over the top pessimism seems to be your schtick on most things. Sorry for noticing.

Frankly, his not seeing or being guided by our medical staff could be seen by many as a reason for significant optimism...lol

Sadly, I agree. At least in that I've come to believe there are better trainers out there. The hope then becomes, that Greg finds the right trainers to guide his conditioning until the next season starts.

I couldn't agree more. IMO, Oden's rehab is one of the MAJOR storylines of this summer, and is mostly independent of the lockout. If I were Quick or Freeman, I would track his ass down and do a story.

I came to this site to post this exact question, but I saw this thread first. Glad I wasn't the one to take the brunt of asking a good & legit question!
