"When I get out there 100 percent, everybody will see what kind of player I am,'' Oden said in an interview with FanHouse. "When I get 100 percent and I get to improve on the court, I feel I can be an All-Star.''

"I always talk to him about injuries,'' Camby said. "I had injuries early in my career and you just have to adapt to it and pretty much just keep working and not really worry about what's being said about yourself or about you being injury prone. (The two talk about) just whatever it may be, the pressures of being a No. 1 pick.

"I just feel personally like, if he's healthy, he's going to prove everybody wrong. There's been a lot of talk now because the way Durant is playing now ... So everybody's like, 'Should (Portland) have picked Durant because of how Durant is performing right now?' But you really can't gauge that at the time. I know it's frustrating on (Oden) to have to hear all that talk about, 'Portland have should have took this guy or that guy.' But, like I said, once he gets back out on the court, he's going to prove a lot of people wrong.''

Just stay healthy. I have no concerns about Oden's ability, except his ability to stay healthy.

That post makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Can't wait to see what he can do when he is fully healthy for an extended period of time.

reading this article it doesn't sound like he's hiding some secret injury as some posters keep speculating. Sounds like he's very confident.

I liked this quote...
"Oh, yeah, definitely,'' Przybilla said of the 7-foot, 250-pound Oden. "I think he'll be very dominant. I've been up and close and personal with him. When he gets healthy, he'll be as dominant as you'll see in the league (at center). Believe me

Good for him for still talking about it. One of the biggest question marks I've had about him has been what's going on between his ears as much as the injuries.

from Nate...
"There's not a date at all,'' said Portland coach Nate McMillan. "We want to just rehab him and listen to the doctors and listen to his body, and not put a time frame on when he will return. We don't want to put pressure on ourselves. The thing is, when he does come back, we hope that he's strong, he's confident and he's ready to go where he won't have setbacks.''

pretty much exactly what I'd posted was my hope months back... which is reassuring

It's almost like he enjoys the tease . . . personally I have been wating three years to see him 100% and what kind of player he is.

In other news, when I get a million dollars, I will be a millionaire. I think what might be the happiest and saddest part of this post is that I am probably closer to my goal than Greg is to his.

The Saddest part of this post is your comparing yourself to an NBA basketball player. Sorry Bud, your in a different league.

With the way the West is looking lately, all G.O. has to do is show up to play and he will be an All-Star

Well that's certainly a ringing endorsement.

How will it prove a lot of people wrong if and when Greg gets back out on the court? Won't him returning to the court simply be doing what we all expect?

Is he even working out and on the practice court now?

Oden will be back.

But I got to say I have a hard time believing anything the Blazers say when it comes to Oden. I don't even know if I believe the current line of "there is no timeline" . . . sad that it has reached this point with the Blazers and some of us fans.

FWIW- spoke to an admin person with the Blazers. Her response about Oden was a "no" shake of the head and said he's not even 75% yet. No idea if she is in a position to know, but I think she does speak for the what some Blazer employees are thinking.

Seeing as Oden and Pryz were both doing everything in practice the other day and that he is supposed to be cleared for full practice I think his knee is probably better then 75%

Well nevermind on Oden being cleared for full practice I can find that Pryz has been but not Oden so yea no clue if what that lady said is anywhere remotely true or not.

95% of women in that position don't know the difference between basketball and football.
