Batum drew 3 charges on George, stuffed his shot forcing a jump ball and dropped maybe 3 drop-jaw dimes tonight. He wasn't dominant, but he was pretty good overall.

Not really note-worthyimo. It was a decent game from him, but the story tonight is Aldridge and Lillard.

I also didn't even mention Batum once during the game, yet I was told I was hating on him.

I'm surprised no one is talking about our almost savior Hibbert, comparing his game to Hickson's, and suggesting we dodged a bullet. :)

I dunno, maybe we did dodge a bullet, but I saw the way he played last year and the year before. Something tells me this season is the outlier.
 
It seems like every time I look at a box score, Wesley Matthews shot like shit. Is this an illusion?

Considering he seems to be playing below his contract, maybe they will have buyer's remorse. We'd have to wait till summer to trade for him, iirc, and our trade chip, Hickson, is probably gone by then.

I'm not a CBA expert, but I'm pretty sure they can't trade a guy to the team that offered him a RFA offer sheet. Or is it just a 1 year limit?

Honestly, I'm pretty sure you know more about it than I do. I just seem to recall we have to wait one year. That could be wrong.

I think Hibbert is just what the Dr. (LaMarcus) (supposedly) ordered.

I think we pulled the offer sheet because Hibbert decided to resign with INDY without going through the 3 day wait.
 
Interesting.

I do wonder how Hibbert would look on this team with people like Batum and Lillard willing and able to get him the ball in places where he could score around the basket? Then again I've watched Hibbert play a few times this year and he just gets so little lift when he jumps and really struggles to finish even when he is in good position. I seriously wonder if he isn't being dogged by some injury?

Trading for him (assuming Indiana wanted to ... which I highly doubt they do) would definitely be banking a lot of money on him returning to last year's form and assumes that this year is just an aberration.

Tough call.
 
I think the Pacers mailed this one in......... they don't play for like 3 days in SLC. FOund out this afternoon from their TV guys that half the team is flying to Vegas in the morning! Bet they were already thinking about that trip and not worrying about us.
