Dave at B-Edge:

Speaking of picks and moves, I have a hunch that Kevin Seraphin's name is going to heat up as the day progresses. Watch to see if there's any jockeying on that account.

Tibor Pleiss seems to have a lot of fans right now. Oklahoma City were the first ones on the bandwagon, they actually convinced him to keep his name in the draft according to reports. Now Washington is hot on his trail too, and they'll probably take him at 30 if he's there, which would force Oklahoma City to use the #26 pick on him if they really like him that much. There are some rumors he could be picked as high as 22nd by Portland

Harris isn't a top 5 PG.

You just seem to be contradicting yourself. You say it takes big star guys to get it done in the playoffs, and then you want to trade the Blazers big star player and not get one in return(I don't consider Harris one).

I don't know why you guys can't accept the Blazers have a lot of their pieces in place. They're just still young as a group. Other than a future PG and more perimeter shooting(they're not terribly bad here, but could definitely improve), everything is fine as long as the Blazers are healthy.

Thank god some sanity. Although I would like to see a monster trade for a PG.

Tibor Pleiss' agent sounds really confident. He thinks his client might get picked as high as 14, which would be an unbelievable surprise. It sounds like Portland is really high on Pleiss at the moment, according to numerous sources, and they'll take him at 22 if he's on the board.

That's fair, but are you saying this teams window is still 3 years away? That's scary for many reasons. Brandon's knees, Oden's body, PA's health. Most were all talking like last year was the begining of our window.

I have to agree with this as well. Might be time for win now (next 3 seasons) mode.

In all seriousness.

Don't we have a top 10 PG on our roster now? I can't really think of many PG's that are a lot better than Miller.

We seem to have a good player at every possition. Miller is good, Roy is very good, Batum is good, Aldridge is good, Camby or Oden or Joel are good

Let's see what point guards in the league you'd have to consider better:

Chris Paul
Deron Williams
Rajon Rondo
Steve Nash
Devin Harris
Aaron Brooks
Tony Parker
Derrick Rose
Chauncy Billups
Russel Westbrook
Brandon Jennings
Stephen Curry
Jameer Nelson
Tyreke Evans
John Wall (soon to join the list)

It's debatable based on some of their recent play or projected play (in the next year or two), but you'd have to consider these guys could make the list too.
Jason Kidd
Jrue Holiday
Baron Davis
Rubio

I think that Miller is a good point guard and has helped lots of teams improve (although not to a championship level). But he's not a top-10 player at his position anymore...clearly.

Ugh, Brian Wheeler is completely and utterly useless for the second straight draft.

Aaron Brooks

I truly don't understand the incredible regard Brooks gets on this forum. Last season was his first decent one and it was still worse than any of Miller's last three seasons.

You are right, though, that point guard has become a tremendously deep position. Miller isn't top-ten anymore, but he's in the caliber of quite a few of the players you listed, in my opinion.

MB: Lets hear from our very own Brian Wheeler live from the practice facility, do you have any news for us?

MW: Uhh, no, nobody will make eye contact with me but I assume they're investigating possible moves......

Hilarious.

I'm told to be on stand by... The Blazers are looking to trade into somewhere between picks 10-13

So far no one in the West has impressed me with their picks (Through 11)

They finally got their big-man ... now the big question is whether or not he'll stick? (I'd bet so)

I'm already looking forward to the one time a year I agree with Bill Simmons, the day after the draft with his annual "NBA: No Balls Association.

I guess OHC is not concerned with saving their cap space. Never been impressed with Cole

BORING DRAFT so far. The most exciting thing about the draft so far is OSUBlazerfan's avatar.

ah shit. Fucking Luke Babbitt ...

WojYahooNBA

Portland has a deal with Minnesota to select Luke Babbitt for Blazers with the 16th pick, league source tells Y!
