That's a good point actually. I've heard of that before but being so white I'm almost clear I never really had to think about it.

It really doesn't bother me at all. There are a lot of other reasons that I don't trust her (the same as most politicians). I just know that I trust her hell of a lot more than I trust Trump.

Not quite. People in marginalized groups have to learn lingo and speech patterns of dominant culture but use their own cadences among themselves. It's not just Black people. I know my speech patterns are slightly different in an all Jewish group than in a mostly goyische group.

Former President Donald Trump has once again missed a chance to submit a statement for Oregon’s widely-distributed Voters’ Pamphlet, which was released Tuesday. He will still appear on the ballot.

Oregon sends a Voters’ Pamphlet to all households ahead of elections. Candidates don’t have to appear in the pamphlet, but for a fee of $3,500 for presidential candidates, it’s a cheap and easy way for candidates to get their face and a 325-word statement in front of the state’s 3 million voters. (Local candidates pay less; the fee is only $600 for a city or county candidate).

Sometimes people just mean the thing they said. Not every observation that makes you uncomfortable needs to be deemed a racist dog whistle because you have nothing to refute it.
