I think most experts wouldve picked the Blazers over whoever the 6 seed ended up as last year. Not really disputing your point I suppose, but I think nationally people, “experts” included thought the Blazers would be much better in the playoffs than they were.
 
So whats more likely. LBJ gets traded OR Lolakers make the playoffs in 2020.
 
The Blazers fan in me hopes that Magic could see the writing on the wall that he wasn't going to be able to make the other big moves he promised and didn't want his name attached to that.
 
Evidently Lebron wanted him gone...if he got traded back to the east I would never complain about the blazers again.

I think LeBron to NYC for Zion makes most sense if Knicks win lottery. Knicks immediately relevant to reach Finals and Lakers stay young with their own star to grow with.
