We are in the worst position. We kind of get to choose our opponent? Is it that simple?

You gotta go for win tmrw and get 3rd seed. Houston had chance to get 2nd seed and blew the lead choked and now they could get 4th seed. I understand about match ups but you can not show weakness and tank and loose momentum NOT get 3rd seed especially after buzzer beater you ride the wave!! because we scared of OKC, yet we would be giving UTAH extra motivation that we rather play them instead of taking 3rd seed is a bad weak look, Also avoiding warriors in 2nd round is major important, if we dream of WCF you must avoid golden state.......

Irony is OKC swept us in regular season close games nevertheless its hard beating a team 8 x in a season it be a war but Dame even said give me OKC in play offs

One thing about playing OKC, if we were to somehow win the series it would be extra sweet. Winning any series this year would be awesome but there's always a special gratification from beating teams that have players like Westbrook, Harden, Chris Paul, Kobe, etc.

for the last 10 days or so I've been kind of amused over the intensity of hope around here that Portland gets the 3rd seed. HCA is important, to be sure, but trying to game 1st round match-ups without Nurkic seems kind of pointless.

OKC visits Milwaukee tomorrow and the Bucks will be resting several starters according to reports. Odds are OKC will be 6th seed. And Utah is a lock for 5th seed. The only alternative to that is San Antonio at 6, and frankly, the biggest mismatch there is Stotts vs Pop

give Dame tomorrow night off. Don't even let him dress for fucksake. Play CJ light minutes. Maybe even play light or no minutes for Kanter and Aminu. It's the Kings and they are going to force a fast pace. Let em. If the Blazer bench can get a win, great, Portland is 3rd seed...just like last year and it was useless. If they can't, it doesn't matter. It's Portland vs Utah. I think the Blazers have a better chance against Utah than OKC anyway.

That’s terrible and shows weakness of your team. Forget about match ups last year people were happy we got the pelicans, and we got swept. You play all your starters to win for 3rd seed. Why on earth are some happy if you get out of 1st round so you can get destroyed by warriors in 2nd? Clinch 3rd and try to KO OKC as a revaange grudge match after they swept us in regular season, beating OKC would boost moral to such extend that playing nuggets in 2nd round we could beat them.

LOL...we disagree.

What is this “we got who we wanted last year” talk? I don’t remember that at all. I wanted OKC or Utah. Pelicans were horrible matchup for us with Jrue as best player in NBA to guard Dame.

Well well well what do we have here ???
Isn't that interesting ? hmmm...

" Could you imagine the four toughest teams all out of our bracket? Please let it be exactly like this in 18 days!!!"

@BonesJones I think you will enjoy this one

Wow, this is a very interesting read from Kyle Korver on racism. I recommend reading it.

@dviss1, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what he says.

He's had his epiphany... I love this:

"I’m trying to ask myself what I should actually do.

How can I — as a white man, part of this systemic problem — become part of the solution when it comes to racism in my workplace? In my community? In this country?

These are the questions that I’ve been asking myself lately.

And I don’t think I have all the answers yet — but here are the ones that are starting to ring the most true:

I have to continue to educate myself on the history of racism in America.

I have to listen. I’ll say it again, because it’s that important. I have to listen.

I have to support leaders who see racial justice as fundamental — as something that’s at the heart of nearly every major issue in our country today. And I have to support policies that do the same.

I have to do my best to recognize when to get out of the way — in order to amplify the voices of marginalized groups that so often get lost.

But maybe more than anything?

I know that, as a white man, I have to hold my fellow white men accountable.

We all have to hold each other accountable.

And we all have to be accountable — period. Not just for our own actions, but also for the ways that our inaction can create a “safe” space for toxic behavior.

And I think the standard that we have to hold ourselves to, in this crucial moment….. it’s higher than it’s ever been. We have to beactive. We have to be actively supporting the causes of those who’ve been marginalized — precisely because they’ve been marginalized."

Blake Griffin sitting with a “sore knee” in a must win to get in the playoffs. That’s Weak Sauce in my book.
Yeah, Im all for injury prevention, but the least they couldve done is called it something else. Saying he’s got a sore knee so he cant play seems lame.

Marcus Smart with a torn oblique and out for a month or so

The regular season is too damn long

The first thing NBA Countdown said when it just started was “we have everything lakers on nba countdown”. Makes me fucking sick. This magic quitting shit, which who fucking cares, is an espn wet dream come true. They know how stupid they look continuing to play laker games every week when LBJ isn’t playing and they aren’t even in the playoff race but now they can continue the fluffing and talk about off the court laker stories, so disgusting.

Kevin Knox is so bleh.

Slow, no physicality, not a passer or defender. Not skilled or athletic enough to be a wing and can't rebound or defend nearly enough to be a 4.

But I guess if you're a fluid 6'9" with a pretty form, that's enough to be a lottery pick.

San Antonio is one class organization. What a tribute for Dirk

Don’t forget everyone, WNBA draft is tonight.
Mamma Mia, some of those women in spandex dresses looked terrific. Lots of slit skirts and bare shoulders. I fell in love about 10 times.

This morning turned on TV to see highlights. They showed game winning shot, then talked Magic. S F Chronicle MBA summary was lengthy story about Magic and Lakers with half sentence mentioning the game.
