I don't think anyone's disputing that Dame got fouled. It's just the falling down to sell the call that is the issue.

So Harden should get a warning about 15 times a game then?

Don't single out Dame for doing what you said were going to enforce, then selectively pick out people not named Harden to "show you're doing something". (I'm directing this at the NBA, not you).

I was a bit disappointed with Dame flopping like that....but at the same time, the ref didn't blow the whistle until he went down. So there is that.

If Dame is getting warned, Harden/Paul should be losing multiple game checks. What a joke NBA.

Im not disappointed in Dame, I hate flopping but its ridiculous that refs wont call things unless you sell it... Like I get they might not see everything but NBA refs man...

That's dumb as fuck but in the end I guess it really doesn't matter. What are they really going to do? The league is dumb as fuck but I have to believe they are smart enough to know the shit storm that they would cause if they actually suspended Lillard for this. Lillard is very liked and respected around league and I imagine that it would not go over well at all. So its all for show. Equivalent to the small fines players get that mean nothing to them monetarily. Waste of a tweet and honestly a bad look for the league.

More flops Dame Please! Stop being a good guy and become a bad guy, good guys are loosers!

Hey y'all--Dame's a flopper. It's official.

Then Harden and Paul and half the Warriors should be suspended for the Playoffs. What a bunch of bullshit. Just another way for the league to give Portland the finger.

It's not like he was faking the foul like those aforementioned do nightly and don't get warnings. Uniformity or shut it

There was definitely contact though. Thats literally a play almost every 3 point shooter does on a regular basis.

1) They still have those silly flop rules that don't do anything?

2) Even if Dame sold the foul, Plumlee gets into his space and has both of his hands in Dame's midsection when he lands. It's still a foul.

Jamal Crawford made a career out of that move.

WTF.

Really don't need them targeting Dame like this before the playoffs.

Lmaooo they can go and fuck themselves :D

Well the ref didnt blow his whistle until he “flopped” so apparently the ref didnt know he got fouled heh.

Guys stop. Really. You almost sound like Houston fans.

Let's be clear: The reason why Dame doesn't get foul calls in regular situations, is because he doesn't flop.

THIS instance is most certainly a flop. It's nothing like Jamal Crawford's leg kick.

It's a flop. Plain and simple.

I think we are all admitting that Dame flopped to exaggerate the contact. Are you saying it shouldn't be a foul? Plumlee literally is in Dame's space after he comes down with both hands in Dame's stomach.

By rule, marginal contact is not a foul. That level of contact was certainly marginal.

I'm disputing that he got fouled at all. He was marginally contacted then flopped.

People need to call a spade a spade and stop with that "sold" the call crap.

Call it for what it is.

Now, here's why the ref mistakenly puts air in his whistle on that play:

Simple rule on ALL airborne shooters:

STAY with the shooter. That means watch his jump and his landing, THEN look at the shot.

The referee doesn't do this. He doesn't see Lillard land otherwise he may have just left him on the floor.

I'm not saying there wasn't contact. I'm saying the contact was marginal and therefore not illegal.

That's also what the league is saying by warning Dame not to flop.

I was just thinking so correct me if I’m wrong. So Denver rested 3 stars to maybe help the Blazers to get to the 3rd seed. If Rockets lose to OKC and Blazers Win 2 more games, Blazers are the 3rd seed and easy opponents for Denver in the 2nd round.

Plumlee’s left leg, Lillards right leg looks like not only does he make contact with him, he is in the space Dame is trying to land in to me. Admittedly not the best angles, and heck they couldve not called it and that would be ok it was marginal and not egregious.

He did definitely flop too.
