Refs gave LeBron a timeout while the ball was rolling around on the floor. Typical NBA.
There were 2-3 really bad calls at the end if the game.

I wonder if the NBA will admit that they missed them on the L2M report

The ball is in the middle of the paint, nearly under the basket when LeBron is calling for the timeout.

The incorrect timeout call has to be on there. It's so obvious.

This is exactly why I have absolutely no respect for this dude.

“I had this conversation one day in a locker room when I was coaching,” he said. “It was me, Chauncey [Billups], my young fella Peyton Siva and my other young fella Josh Smith. We had this same conversation. I can’t tell you everything that was said in it, but short story, no, for me, I gotta get that ring. … The bread, the bread is gon’ come with the ring. The bread’s gon’ come with the ring long term.

“Now, it might not be — it might not amount to as much. So, let’s say, as you mentioned for example, the $300 million contract, right? Okay, I might not be able to make $300 million in that seven, eight, nine years — or however long that contract is — again, but I’m immortalized, though, yo. I’m in this motherf—— HOF, which, I don’t wanna be — f— it — but I’m in there.

“To me, that’s why I came into the league. … I came into the NBA to win a chip, to win at least one, and I was blessed enough to make three, but I got the one, and s—, lemme tell you, you’re immortalized forever because you’re immortalized in that city forever. They always gon’ know you.”

Then what the actual fuck was CTC? This idiot did anything but play to actually win. Both teams played hard my ass.

talk is cheap, Rasheed wasn't. He made 160M in his NBA career so his chatter about wanting titles rather than making more millions is just that...chatter only a fool would believe

The thing that resonates with me is that if he got 2-3 here he would have been considered royalty in Portland. Heck even one would have done it. I get the 7 championships statement making you money long term. It's just tough to hear when he was constantly doing things that hurt the team on and off the court. "Ball don't lie" is a catchy phrase but putting people on the line and getting thrown out of games constantly because you can't keep from getting T'd up was not the way to win Championships. I almost feel that Portland still suffers disrespect from Refs because this organization allowed it to happen as long as it did. Yes there were and probably still are some bad apples in the referee ranks so I can't say he was completely wrong. Just think there could have been better ways to deal with those issues?

yes, believe everything the Athletic reports. Complete transparency, especially when they tell us Blazer doctors were doping up Gary Payton Jr. with Toradol injections and making him to play through injuries.

There's good news and bad news in the Athletic:

I wish some source would come out and say that the reason Joe wouldn't trade with the Heat is because they refused to include Jaquez because otherwise I'll always wonder.

Far and away the most overrated Blazer EVER. And considering we had Drexler, that's saying something........

Yeah, bad idea. I don’t suppose you west coasters would want the first round to start at 6pm ET instead of 8? That would help.

I think if they want to extend it to 2 nights, they should expand it to 3-4 rounds, now that every team has their own G-League team, you can figure out some system or level of "control over rounds 3 and 4 G-League guys, and whether it's normal like now, or if it's something like you can only protect X amount of players on your G-League team, to encourage call ups.

I wouldn't be surprised if it lottery on night 1; and 15-60 on night 2

I would agree with you if the NFL was not getting any sort of ratings for rounds 3 and beyond. There is a lot of bad TV out there.
I suppose diehard fans would still watch it. As a prospect though, I wouldn’t like it at all. It means guys like Bol Bol would’ve sat the entire night of the first round on tv. He wouldn’t even come back to actually go up and shake the commissioners hand cause most second rounders aren’t even there, so would there even be a live version of the 2nd round?

I personally wouldn’t watch it, as I already stop watching after round 1 anyway, and I don’t think many under the age of 30 would be watching. I think you’re overestimating the amount of bad tv there is, and that’s all subjective. Way, way, too easy to be entertained these days.

That’s not to say I’d care if it became a 2 day draft. Making the draft 1-2 hours earlier wouldn’t matter to me either.

That might be interesting. That would kind of be fun. I actually enjoyed those covid drafts where we got to see a small backstory for each prospect.

Not sure if that would mean any non lotto teams’ fans would tune in to night 1. But a lot of NBA fans tune in for the players and not their team. I’d still like this format even if the Blazers weren’t in the lotto.

What happened to NBA favorite team Wemby and the Spurs? 15 straight lost
