Josh Hart with 0/2/2 in 29 minutes tonight for the Knicks. It looks like he's having his lowest scoring season since his second year in the league and his lowest FG% since 2021.

His second year with a team has had a scoring decline all 4 times.

Yea I noticed when he gets traded to a team he’s amazing and that team loves him then for whatever reason always falls off the next year.. weird

Giannis went bonkers after his 64 pt game. Wanted the game ball and couldnt get it. Dame looked a bit befuddled.

Tomorrow’s game against Utah will be big. A Blazer loss would put a 2 game separation between Utah and Portland. Memphis should win more as Ja comes back. So the loss can help lock us into the 4th best odds for a little bit.

The reason for the scoring decline from last season is fewer minutes.

Hart is shooting 40% on 3-pointers , 55.7% on 2-pointers, 6.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists with only 1.0 turnovers per game.

Hart's per 36 minutes points is basically identical to last season, which means the reason for fewer points this season is fewer minutes played per game.

The big dropoff in scoring came when he was a Trail Blazer, between the 2021-22 season and the 2022-2023 season.

Again, I was comparing his first year numbers with a team to his second year with the same team. He's playing 85 seconds less per game than he did last year for the Knicks. That doesn't make up for the 17% drop in scoring or the 9% lower FG% he's seeing this season.

So do players lose the money that they would earn in games they are suspended for?
I’ll bet he feels a 20 game suspension if they do?

Not sure what you’re asking here. Players do not get paid for missed games.

Yeah they get suspended without pay as a means of punishment.

And the real answer is...

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...ors-draymond-green-suspended-indefinitely-nba

"Green will be docked $153,941 per game if his suspension is fewer than 20 games and $202,922 per game if more than 20 games."

...complicated.

If I'm not mistaken, his salary this year is $315k per game, so either there's a fixed scale (by # of games suspended) or they decide the % on the fly.

so he got a franchise record and the guy on the pacers scored his first bucket as an nba player? and it went to the pacer guy?
And wasn’t the game AT Milwaukee. Pretty rare for the visiting team to run a grab the game ball. The normal procedure is for the home team ball boys to acquire it and bring it to the visiting team.

So he's going to make between $100 and $150 thousand dollars a game for not playing. Hell - I'll not play for a lot less than that!

There's literally video of a Bucks staffer grabbing the actual game ball - the Pacers didn't even get the real ball. But also, how petty by Giannis. No one cares.

So he still makes 2-3 million for a 20 game suspension. That is about what I'll make in 20 years of what I do.

So they are now saying Draymond is actually the victim here and he needs help.

I don't think this reads like Dray is a victim. More like Dunleavy is saying that Draymond is agreeing with the league and the Warriors that he's a fucking asshole on the court and that needs to change but obviously nothing they have done has worked, so they have to try something new.

I think that's the right approach I just have my doubts if Dray is being sincere or just saying what he needs to in order to get back on the court as soon as possible so he can cheap shot some more opponents.

Green is a 33 year old grown man. He's played for 11 seasons. How many issues has he had over the years? This isn't someone who is going through problems. This is who he is. My experience on stuff like this is when someone tells you and shows you who they are believe them.

Is Ayton hurt?
Deandre returned last night after missing a few games recovering from knee soreness. He looked ok, but had a minor limp walking back to bench in 2nd quarter. He toughed it out and played the rest of his shifts.

Current score: Hornets 39, Pels 50
If Hornets win, we have a 2 game lead on them for the 4th best odds. If Pels win, they have a 4 game lead on the Dubs.

Also tonight: Suns, Knicks
If Suns win, they have a 3.5 game lead on the Dubs and will be sitting in 10th, or 9th (if Suns win, Pels lose).
