Also fuck Westbrook with a rusty coat hanger.
http://www.nba.com/media/dleague/1314-nba-rule-book.pdfHow did that count? They didn't start the timer the moment the ball hit the player!

2) If play is resumed by a throw-in from out-of-bounds, the game clock shall be started when the ball is legally touched by any player within the playing area of the court.
Since it hit the players back and the player didn't actually touch the ball the clock doesn't start until Westbrook touches the ball.

No clue but id guess it has something to do with intent. Why doesn't the ball hitting Hood in the back count as him touching it?
Why doesn't the ball hitting Hood in the back count as him touching it?
Because OKC... Because Westbrook...Why doesn't the ball hitting Hood in the back count as him touching it?
Thank you! Fuck those starfucker refs and that jackass Westbrook.Exactly. If you throw the ball off of an opponent's back and it goes out of bounds, the ruling by the ref would be that your opponent was the last to touch the ball and you would get possession. So the ball hitting his back should count as touching it.
I just watched the replay of that shot a whole bunch of times. They actually did start the replay on time. The clock was down to .5 by the time Westbrook actually got his hands on the ball. He was simply that quick. How did that count? They didn't start the timer the moment the ball hit the player!

The real problem is that he only had one foot in bounds before he grabbed the ball. Don't you have you establish yourself in bounds with two feet before you can touch the ball?
Only 1 game is a joke. 6 or 7 games would feel about right to me.
In the real world if you display this kind of behavior at work, you lose you job...next man up..it's not like the world lacks guys do take his job
The NBA is about to get a TON of hate for this. It'll be like when the NFL suspended Ray Rice for like 3 games and then the video got out and there was a firestorm. They're going to get a lot of anger and hate for not protecting the ref.

Fascinating piece on why the Mavs keep winning year after year. (Tests? Rick Carlisle is a monster.)
