Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

damnit, come on charlotte...dont want to play them after losing to one of the worst teams ever.

On a happier note, if even the L*kers can score 100 on them, we've got a fighting chance at 130.

Charlotte is mediocre so that shouldn't be too much of a concern. Fatigue and lack of an SF if Batum is out should be, though.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

K*be Hero-Ball can be entertaining. The issue is that this year there is literally NO ONE to call him on it. Before there was at least Shaq, or Gasol, or Howard. This year, who's gonna say something? Boozer? Lin?

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Nice! Lin with the "Lillard Face" after making a 3 to go up 15 against CHA at home.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Matthew Dellavedova experienced a left knee injury during the fourth quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers game at the Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday.

Mathew Dellavedova was out for the remaining two games of the Cavaliers road trip this past week in Utah and Denver.

After returning to Cleveland, he received additional evaluation by Cavaliers Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health. The results confirmed a left knee MCL sprain. He is undergoing a period of treatment and rehabilitation and is currently projected to be out four to six weeks. His status will be updated as appropriate.

As a result, Sam Smith of Bulls.com writes that Love will seriously consider opting out and has his eyes on a return to Los Angeles:

It’s not going to get as much discussion during the season, but one of the biggest issues for the Cavs is that both LeBron James and Kevin Love own opt outs after this season. LeBron James basically cannot afford to go anywhere after his return to Cleveland. But watch out for Love. Indications are he will seriously consider the opt out and has his eyes on a return to Los Angeles, where he attended college and where the Lakers long have had him on their free agent wish list.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

After giving up Wiggins to get him, if CLE does lose Love, it would be devastating.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Love to LaLaLand has been a forgone conclusion around these parts. If the Cavs don't seriously look like they are going to be contenders next season, Love is going Hollywood. And maybe even then.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Who cares?! Love is a guaranteed loser. He will put up great numbers but to no avail. Probably be the starting all star PF until he retires.

All of this will be what Love wants. A me first stat Whöre that is only concerned with himself and not the team. He should fit right in with the Kobe tradition

Kobe Bryant didn't do cartwheels out of the Staples Center on Sunday night, when his Los Angeles Lakers won for the first time in six tries this season by downing the Charlotte Hornets 107-92.

It was Nov. 9, for Magic's sake, meaning a win of any kind this time of year has about as much grand-scheme-of-things-value as all that chatter about how he might wind up finishing his storied career in a different jersey. With every lopsided loss, the Lakers starting the season 0-5 and sitting dead-last in the league in terms of average margin of defeat (14.8 points per game), the chatter within NBA circles about how Bryant might wind up retiring in a different jersey continued to grow even after he claimed it was nonsense.

And as Bryant said afterward, when he strolled out of the familiar loading dock with all the exuberance of an arena worker who just logged a 12-hour day, his loyalty to the Lakers wouldn't have changed had their season ended with the kind of 0-82 record that, at times, had almost seemed possible.

"It's not going to happen," Bryant told USA TODAY Sports when asked if the temptation to change teams might still grow from here. "It's not going to happen. You go through the good times, you've got to go through the bad times."

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Everytime anything in this forum is posted about Kobe in a positive way its always BGD. I'm starting to think someone should contact Kobe and tell him that a stalker of his has been found.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Love with a return to Los Angeles?

Graphic comes up--he's 9-19.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Okay I'm a believer. Anthony Davis is a top 3 PF in the game.

And LBJ with yet another triple double

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

I'm rooting for the Spurs to route the clap

Yup. Dame is amazing, but Davis is going to be one of those Tim Duncan guys if he can stay healthy.

I still love me some Aldridge, but I can understand the argument that Davis is better.

LA is the better offensive player, but Davis will get there. It's the defense and rebounding though that make Davis so great.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

It's early but Love is getting exposed. Didnt the MN owner say something along those lines?

He is sporting a sub-20 PER and the second lowest career ts% - his trb% is also the lowest of his career.

Like I said, it's early but I'm not sure he's the right fit.

Good. I think he knows it too.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Clippers just had a huge meltdown and Spurs rattled off 10 straight to take the lead.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

I'm loving it. The Clippers are my least favorite team in the NBA. I'm still upset we lost to them.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Fuck. Manu blows both freethrows. Clips with a chance to win. Let's see if SA can defend.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Lmao CP3 pulls a Chris webber

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread
