Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

damn, so not only did his team not have his back, they couldn't get someone to cover it up?

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Israel Gutierrez looks like he got the freshly-frosted look for the big game tonight.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Why have the wolves been scheduled in Mexico twice? Trying to judge interest?

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

It's crazy to think that Gerald Green was in the D-League a few years ago.

He's a guy that would vault this team into a real contender. In PHX he's Jamal Crawford with a 40" vert.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Papanikolaou has a 7.4 PER

4-4 from 3 so far. I bet Rasta is besides himself...My biggest knock on him has been his shooting which could go up. Still don't think he fits the league.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

He might be worth more than T-Rob though. Guy has been a huge disappointment.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

My dude Olynyk has a PER of 20. Shooting 60% from the field.

He is a Vladimir Radmanovic. He will stick in the NBA for 10 years and be a 10th man on a good team.

A few candidates already who will be ripe for the picking.

New York is playing like crap. Denver is playing like crap. Detroit is struggling.

Who do you want from those teams? What do you want to give for them?

I guess it all depends on whether you want to go for a home run, or go for a safe pickup.

It sucks Joe Johnson is making so much money. He'd be a perfect vet to bring off the bench. The guy is still making 20+ million per year. Fucking ridiculous.

Shumpert would be a good target. Wilson Chandler can be a good player. David West would be awesome, but he's making 12 million. That would eat up a ton of cap space this summer.

I figure we have 6-7 million to work with.

Dorell Wright - $3 million
Thomas Robinson - $3.6 million
Victor Claver - $1.4 million

So about $8 million if we wanted to use it.

If Drummond keeps having disappointing year do you go after him to see if you can buy low?

Blazers can't be too high on him or you think they would have moved the 11 to get him.

Nah, Detroit won't move him. They're going to lose Monroe this summer.

Thad Young would be a good target.

I don't know about that. Maybe part of his displeasure was the focus being on Drummond. Maybe giving Monroe the keys and a fat check would be enough to keep him. Monroe is solid and fairly proven, Drummond is solidl but not proven.

I haven't watched SC in ages, but wtf? The Lakers still get highlights shown.

K*be + Unibrow = full slurpage.

You aren't enjoying the absolute stinkfest coming from the Purple and Piss? I'm reveling in it.

Not when its ESPN trying to convince people that the Lakers are worth paying to watch. They are only promoting the Lakers so they can afford to pay the NBA that fat new contract. Can't have the masses tuning out that Laker game on TV Friday.

I mean they actually said that Kobe makes it worth paying to see the Lakers...

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Shumpert if you could get him on the cheap-ish. I think he'll blow up as soon as he gets away from the black hole known as Carmelo Anthony.

Kyle Singler if you can get him on the cheap.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

great trade for minny.

I don't know.. doesn't seem like they get much for Thad and Pek.

What do you guys think of Josh Smith? I'm sure Detroit would LOVE to get out from under his deal.

Smith for Robinson, Freeland, Wright, and Claver.

Bring him off the bench with CJ/Blake/Kaman and have him swing between SF and PF.
