Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

And I posted i was wrong about the kid last week. You didn't see that?

No I did not. But hey as long as you are right now who cares.

The truth is Anthony Davis is probably the third most talented player in the NBA right now.

I would pick AD over lebron or KD if I was running a team.

It's the same thought as taking Oden over Durant, except here we have 2 knees that seem to be able to hold up. He's had a few injury issues but nothing of too much concern. Eventually he will be stretching the floor like lamarc us and defending the paint better than anyone in the league.

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

He's the best big man in the game. Aldridge is #2. I still give Aldridge the edge because he's lead his team to the playoffs. But talent wise, he's the best

Agreed.

Easily. He is so young.

That 2012 draft class was also filled with good players now that you look back.

Anthony Davis
Bradley Beal
Dion Waiters
Damian Lillard
Terrence Ross
Harrison Barnes
Andre Drummond
Jeremy Lamb
John Henson
Terrence Jones
Jared Sullinger
Tony Wroten
Miles Plumlee
Perry Jones
Jae Crowder
Draymond Green
Quincy Acy
Khris Middleton
Will Barton

I'm sure I'm missing some

Remember it was said how bad this draft was aside from Anthony?

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

if you re-draft the 2012 draft.... does lillard get the #1 spot? remember that n.o. had an injury plagued PG and also drafted Rivers.

that would mean Davis would go to Cleveland. oh shit that team would be sick right now.

No love for Ben McLemore?

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Trading for ending contracts would drop $22 Million of the their cap immediately, So, their cap expenditure would be down to $38. With that much cap space they you trade for another piece/draft picks.

Thad was an FA (I think), and they already have buyer's remorse with Pek, especially considering that his eventual replacement Dieng has been outplaying him (or so I've read).

I don't know.. doesn't seem like they get much for Thad and Pek.

What do you guys think of Josh Smith? I'm sure Detroit would LOVE to get out from under his deal.

Smith for Robinson, Freeland, Wright, and Claver.

Bring him off the bench with CJ/Blake/Kaman and have him swing between SF and PF.

Well, going by team needs... No, Davis still goes 1st and Dame still wouldn't get picked by the Hornets, Wizards or Cavs because they already have very good point guards. Charlotte probably would've taken either Barnes or Drummond if they could do it all over and Sacramento would've take Dame.

Hornets had a fragile point guard, and also took rivers early. i think they had 2 needs really.

If needs are taken out of the equation, I think dame would go top 3 now.

No, I mean Charlotte Hornets lol not new Orleans

My order would be:

Davis
Drummond
Beal
Waiters
Lillard

In terms of talent...

Davis
Lillard
Drummond
Beal
Waiters

Gasol looks like he got 10 years younger

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

I've seen Lillard go that strong and hit much harder without a call. Wtf

Re: "OFFICIAL" Around the NBA season Thread

Still... Parker, Wiggins, Exum, Vonleh, and others have been pretty 'meh'
Anyone who thought Exum would come in a star needs to learn the game. Isn't he 13 years old but can come into the NBA because of the time zone difference?

I think people fell in love with his body and youth... People called him a young Kobe. The dude was playing against Australian high school level players iirc...

Exactly, plus they just learned how to turn kangaroos into basketballs like 20 years ago.
