I wasn't saying that it's new. But, this far along in the season, it's possible that they don't make the playoffs, which was inconceivable before the Klay injury. They have BEEN out of the playoffs all season. They are in the play-in. They have been in the play-in this whole time. Only top 6 make playoffs. 7 thru 10 make play-in. Nothing changed today.
Hm. I wonder how Booker feels about that. He had been turned from James Harden into Klay Thompson. The winning's nice, but he's no longer looking like an MVP candidate.Paul’s arrival has brought balance to Booker’s game. This season, Booker has possessed the ball for only 4.1 minutes per game, which is tied for 53rd in the league and is a new low for him since the 2016-17 season, according to NBA Advanced Stats. Now he is receiving more simple shots off the catch. Paul possesses the ball 46 percent of the time he’s in the game, per BBall-Index. That’s more frequently than all but just four players: Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Damian Lillard, and John Wall. Paul runs the show in Phoenix, which allows Booker to pick his spots
This season, 39 percent of Booker’s half-court plays are a result of spotting up from 3, coming off a screen, or using a handoff. That’s up from 32 percent last season with Rubio at point guard, and way up from 26 percent in 2018-19, when Booker had only rookie De’Anthony Melton and 38-year-old Jamal Crawford setting him up. Fair or not, Booker earned comparisons to Klay Thompson as a Kentucky freshman; now he’s reminding people why.
No and then they'll win the lottery get the number one pick, push the Wolves out to the number four spot, giving them the first and fourth pick in a loaded draft. They won't use the picks they'll just make huge upgrades to the current roster and possibly even cutting their salary down. These motherfuckers are lucky. I know the injuries don't seem like they've been but somehow they'll come out on top of this situation. Or maybe they'll just crumble into nothing.GS is out of the playoffs as of today. Will they even make the playoffs by the end of the season?
“I will occasionally take a player out (for FBO), especially a young player,” Kerr said. “I’m not taking Draymond Green or Steph (Curry) out if they miss a box-out, I’ll be perfectly honest. I’ll tell them at the next timeout, ‘Hey, let’s make sure we box out,’ and they usually know when they miss one. But a young guy, a Jordan Poole, Mike Mulder, Nico Mannion, Juan — if Juan were to miss one — sure. It’s a good way to remind them, ‘Hey, if you want to play, you gotta do this every time.’ I wouldn’t hesitate to take one of those guys out.”
FBO is "failure to box out".
where? Is it "Fuckin' box out!"You waited too late. I already made up something better.
where? Is it "Fuckin' box out!"
That's impossible.Too uncreative. Try harder to keep up with my intellect.

I don't know exactly what the package that included CJ would have been but yes, yes I do think that the actual best back court in the NBA would have had a better record than what we currently do. But who gets injured in this Harden as a Blazer multiverse? All things being equal. If we had traded CJ, young guys and picks for Harden and even if Nurk breaks his wrist, I think we would be on pace to win at least 50 of 72.When Harden asked to be traded and add PDX to his list. If we traded CJ do you think we would have the same record of 21-14 or higher?
Yes but with steals or blocks in double figures. Those are the difficult categories.Sabonis vs Nuggets: 10/10/10/4
Jokic @ Cleveland: 16/12/10/4
Doncic vs Nuggets: 35/11/16/4
Harden vs Magic: 32/12/14/4
Then again he never was.Hm. I wonder how Booker feels about that. He had been turned from James Harden into Klay Thompson. The winning's nice, but he's no longer looking like an MVP candidate.
With CJ, we have two guards with a Top 7 PER in the entire NBA. How often does that happen if ever?I don't know exactly what the package that included CJ would have been but yes, yes I do think that the actual best back court in the NBA would have had a better record than what we currently do. We didn't though. If you remember Dame was deferring far too much to CJ because CJ was so hot but because we didn't have Dame going we lost some games we should have won. Maybe Dame and CJ can find a balance and maybe CJ comes back and plays as well as he was because he was playing well but two ball dominant guards, have to kind of trade off. With CJ, we have two guards with a Top 7 PER in the entire NBA. Mike Conley has been named an All-Star as a replacement for Devin Booker. It’s the latest that anyone has ever been named a first time all-star this late into their career.
I’m happy for him after he’s been snubbed countless times.
not discounting that it's nice he made it, but snubbed countless times?
Name one year.
And he has been in the West. Tough Conference for sure.2009 - 2020 lol
You don’t think he’s been in the conversation as an All-Star a single year of his career? From what I recall, he was usually discussed as a snub or someone who barely didn’t make it. He’s kind of like CJ in the fact that he puts up good numbers on teams that are usually pretty good but it’s not enough to put him ahead of the rest of the field.

Yup. Really isn't an obvious argument to be made for him.Name me a player he should have made it over.
